Yeah, plain text can be flagged if the filter thinks you're talking naughty. Apparently Lovecraft isn't appreciated either, since the Cthulhu circle up there just got flagged a few minutes ago as well.

Consider a unit (radius = 1 ) sphere. Given a point on that sphere (θ, φ) where polar angle is θ, and azimuthal angle is φ, how does one convert that to a 3d Cartesian coordinate, in the form (x,y,z)?
The way I solved this is by considering two rotations of a sphere, the first (R_θ) being a rotation about the z-axis, the second (R_φ) being a rotation about the new y-axis. These will act on a unit vector [1,0,0]^T, since I've defined (0°,0°) to mean (1,0,0).
Rotations can be represented by matrices.

That's some lovely geometry there, methyl.

I'm growing much more comfortable with this calligraphy tool-- it's a brush, a nib pen, and a marker, all at the tips of my fingers. Just like the tools I'm used to, but digital. Very convenient.
