Very nice!
But I think I would prefer it without the muzzle flash. I don't think it fits an otherwise peaceful scene, and without the flash there is a (IMHO nice) ambiguity in if she is aiming for real, or just playing with the rifle.
(... and just to be 'that guy', - wouldn't it be anoying to aim from a position where you eyes would shift between being in shadows or sunlight  )

Say, would there be any interest in seeing a DF mod featuring these cute(?!¹), oversized furred lizards? I already have a bare-bones, really early version of the mod sitting on my HDD. If i burn out on 3D stuff again for a while, i might get back to making that mod².

I needed to look up what you meant by "chameleon fingers" but i'm impressed, you've got a great eye for detail.
You're entirely right that they're closer to Zygodactyl(chameleon style) toe/finger arrangement than to Anisodactyl(common bird arrangement) but most sub-species have only 3 toes/fingers.
By pure coincidence(seriously), they also happen to love climbing and camouflage(though they can't change color ).

Their current working name is in the filename, but it is "Current"... They're the species mentioned in this post from the Tales of the Deer Wizard thread:

And, in the meantime, you can think about some talents, skills, something like that. And, more importantly, a name.

Well we already have two of the main skills set(Summoning(Nature/Elemental Spirits) and basic Herbal Medicine), if we need any more, i'd say anything that we would have picked up just surviving in the wild, plus a bit of leadership maybe.

Oh deer, someone else will need to provide THAT because i'm absolutely ABYSMAL with names. Do you have any idea how frequently i reuse names in my stories because i simply don't have any freaking ideas??!! Or the fact that i have an original species that i've been developing for 5 years that dont even have a name yet because every one i try on them, it just sounds stupid?

The death of that thread really hit close to home btw, i had a project that pretty much died the same way. That project coincidentally was the one that spawned these guys.
