The products of Kevek's craft take diverse beautiful forms ought to enhance their everyday life... No wonder the members of the Kevek family seem to show candid expressions of kindness and gentle satisfaction! There are even increasingly elaborate embellishments on the musical instruments!

It's becoming evident that these sentient frogs have sophisticated techniques of wood carving and pottery.

I also really like the fact that their manual and artistic expertise allow them to use some out of the ordinary plant parts, like the bast, and that they have udu-like drums to imitate the sounds of water, wich seems fitting for a frog civilization (udus and artisanal use of bast are two interesting RL things I have discovered today).

On another note, your peasant's tunic is rather pleasant looking!

On that point: any recommends for an amateur-level tablet and art software?

100% wacom bamboo intuos. It is affordable, does not require pen battery, durable and will remain useful far beyond amateur-level skill. I know professionals who still use it when travelling, and I have no doubt it can be used as a main tool even by pros.
As for software... Krita if you are going for no expense at all. Else it depends what you are going for. Sai/manga studio are good for black and white and quick drawing. The absolute best is photoshop CS x, but it requires to pay a subscription fee now, if you don't already own a previous version. So I'd say, start with Krita, work your way up.

+1 to that, "low" end Wacom tablets are very solid and will serve you well for years, and they're pretty cheap! Krita is also my choice of software, it fulfills my needs and doesn't cost me a dime, which is exactly how i like it. :V
I hear my arting friends also speaking very well for Clip Studio Paint, though as i haven't tried it myself i can't speak for how good it is. It has, however, recently added a time lapse feature in a patch, which is very interesting indeed!

Also hey again folks, turns out that dangerously high stress levels make me retract socially, who'd have thunk? At least i succeeded in what i said in my last post, but in the opposite way of intended. It hasn't been one month, it's been three. :U
Been checking what y'all have been making every day though, and i have to say, good shit! Lots of really good stuff happening. :)

As you might be able to guess i have been doodling a fair bit to stay sane during thesis writing, so PREPARE YOURSELVES

Spoiler: doodly things (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: prettier things (click to show/hide)

So that's a pile of stuff. :V

Squaring might work. Glad you like it! c:

I'm sadly not doodling as much as i want to because i'm dealing with an overexerted right thumb that can't get enough rest because pretty much all my hobbies are hand-heavy (inb4wankjokes), but still chipping away at things because otherwise i'll lose what few marbles i have left. I guess you can say that i'm...

Conveniently slipped sleeve to show that Rufus is fuckin BUFF. He's got an insane grip, so although lizard's arm will probably be sore for a while, they're not really in danger of falling. :v

I decorated my house in FFXIV! It involved a lot of glitch placement of items, and that means alot of meticulous busywork to get things where you want them. I made it into a music spot and relaxing spot.

It's nighttime, during the day light streams through the windows.
