Was visiting some friends yesterday and dug out some ancient Čtyřlístek issues, and awoken some nice memories. Here's a tribute to Rexík, one of the series included I was quite fond of. Did some research, it was far older than I thought, being in the magazine from 1994 for whole 15 years.

Episodic comic about the titular Rexík, this dinosaur guy getting transported into the modern day and being confused by everything, at least in the early episodes. The time I was reading it he seemed to orient himself quite well, albeit still being somewhat eccentric, and it was more about random everyday escapades, like saving princesses, time travel, getting pranked by a hacker genius and bullied by a sentient GPS. You know, relatable stories from life.

His friends were Lojzík (Louis, Louie), a fox, and Karlík (Carl, Charlie), a rooster, who accompanied him at all times, and also all wore these classy jackets. In the older episodes Lojzík was drawn with Uncle Ruckus ponytail, gotta respect that.

Other recurring characters were their cranky hamster neighbor and Lojzík's cousin Arthur, a well meaning inventor whose machines would wreak havoc, like that one time he created the most powerful AC in the universe of such might it could oppose the temperate climate seasonal cycle itself, then it kinda exploded.

I was joking about the plots before, but it really had this strange sense of relatability to it, of just three casual dudes living together through their daily lives.

Had to draw them watching TV, they would often watch news together.

First few pages of this here comic, last one is WIP--but its looking pretty cool lol. I think I'll do one or two more pages just to get a little dialogue/action/plot in and then... idk, showcase it on reddit or something? See if people are interested in it?
