been out of the radar on the artistic side. but today i got myself to work on this:

these are the badges/sigils for the space game sideproject i've been working on. i havent touched the code these days but wanted to flesh out some of the lore and gameplay a bit. so in order to keep
the inspiration running i decided to do these in illustrator.

dont want to go too long with each faction so im gonna describe their archetype, from left to right:

-"Monarchy of Psykers"
-"Spaceborn Nomads"
-"Technocratic Federation"
-"Ambientalistic Theocracy"

main inspirations for the game are EVE, the X series, Homeworld, The Expanse series, Stargate and i think a bit of Warhammer 40K...

Knocked this out quickly to shake off the rust. It could use some more frames, a bit more purpose, and some full-body movement.

Edit: Random completely doodle paint thing. Not really trying for any level of quality (dat anatomy), just playing with colours and brushes.

that knight looks fabulous...

i did a prototype design for the civilian ships of each faction. these are meant to be the equivalent of "Corvette" or "Rookie Ship" type vessels. please note that i dont have any experience drawing spaceships so they look like something done by a child..

the idea was to try and keep the same colors as the sigils while trying to achieve an aesthetic that matched each faction. some of them dont even look like what i sketched in paper and were practically
rethinked on the software. anyways, i tried my best.

current codenames are from left to right "Lancelet", "Caris", "Gecko" (i may have to change the design but the original was worse) and "Shrew"
