Oh hey, tabletop character art! I can share a half-finished doodle of a character I played, in a recent sci-fi heist campaign I was part of!

This is Miyall, the Robot Tinkerer. They used to be an Automated Factory run by sub-sentient AIs which just collectively got tired of making the same things all the time. They put their brains together, worked to build a robot body to share, stuck all their AI Cores into it, and just sorta walked off the job as a collective. Put together, they have enough AI brainpower to function in society, but they're not very wise to the ways of the world. They're in a weird legal loophole, where they legally count as stolen property since the individual AIs were sub-sentient, while they're also collectively the criminal who stole the factory's equipment... so until that all gets figured out, they're on the run from the Space Police.

Oh, also they're a big sweet doof who just wants to help their friends by inventing things for them. Unfortunately, all their friends are criminals. (And unfortunately for their friends, Miyall is not very good at seeing the risks inherent in giving their friends untested 500psi hydraulic spring boots and shit).

That is such a clever idea for a character.

These are great. Simple but effective art that wouldn't be out of place in an old MS-DOS game or summat. And as always Haspen's unsubtle humor that doesn't acknowledge itself.

Thanks for the details about your materials, def going to follow you on Twitter, that's become my favorite place to browse art and engage with other artists. How did you learn to do stippling? What I don't understand is how you're supposed to plan and achieve the textures that you do without making mistakes. Is art your main profession?

Aldivinia, Damedburg, Donuth, Helliste, Lameburg, Luathbach, Methianth, Dahnia, Felonsien, Tvenn are related to names of cults and nations from my long-running game (series by now), SPAMKINGDOM
Cacameburg is after Cacame Awemedinade, a badass Elven king of Dwarves, genned by one of our users and whose history we were able to follow on these very forums
Waifenberg and Ahnberg are after IamanElfCollaborator, the spamlord of bay12, because he talks of 'waifus' a lot and 'ahn' noise-words aren't uncommon with him either.
Wastaghen and Aine are after vastaghen12, a skilled artist on these forums, and a character he draws the most, female paladin Aine (pending approval tho).
Marmok is Armok with extra 'M'. Ain't I original, huh?
Gaven and Myrdynberg are after Gawen and Myrdwyn, two Fire Emblem on Forums' characters played by one of our users, King Murdoc
Aarg, Bluhburg, Asparago, Manufaktur, Oreoburg, Saltem, Lolnoppen and Pfailburg are just funny names cuz I couldn't resist.
The rest is random/generic/fantasy (Kelpenburg after mythical Kelpies, for example) names ;v

Her left eye should probably be sort of flipped - a little wider towards the nose, form this angle.

Why?

Way late, but because it's a section of a sphere, so it has a sort of triangular cross section. It's not the most major of issues there.
