I'm not posting art, but I figured this would be a good place to ask: I just got a Huion 610Pro drawing tablet. I don't suppose you know any good drawing software for it? Or any other tips? I've never done digital before.

Firealpaca, maybe?  I've been using gimp, but I heard firealpaca is better for illustration.

Apparently gimp's bad for pressure sensitivity or something?

Krita is my software of choice when it comes to drawing, although Gimp features better editing (for now). Nobody's saying you can't use them both for separate purposes, of course. :v
As for tips, the number one thing is that you need to arm yourself with patience; getting used to a tablet, even a display one, can take a while (possibly weeks), and things are going to feel and look off until then. As the happy owner of an XP-Pen Artist 10s, though, i can confirm that a display tablet you've gotten used to is AMAZING, so it's well worth the effort! As a secondary plus, the motions translate more easily between tablet and pencil. Otherwise the same tips as for most other types of pen(cil) drawing apply here, but note that digital drawing usually doesn't lend itself well to "slow and steady" lines, at least not in my experience. Relatively fast sweeps tend to produce the cleanest lines, but nailing that with precision is tricky as hell. :P
Oh yeah also, abuse the fact that you can mirror your drawing easily, as that lets you spot flaws much more easily.

It can be weird and sometimes fails to actually register the right pressure, also a big problem if you're a heavy drawer.

Seconding Krita. Gimp is a great image manipulation tool and a mediocre painting one.

Gonna have to look into Krita, then. Really, I'm no good at navigating all the different aspects of digital editors. But with time will hopefully come proficiency.

For every editor, you'll probably never use MOST of the stuff, honestly, when it comes to these kinds of programs the best way to learn is pretty much to learn it when you need it. It's just a slow accumulation of knowledge on what does what and how certain options affect the image.

Late to the party but yeah. I have an H610 pro and Krita works fine with it since the driver update sometime about a year ago (or longer). The main thing you need to know is layers, and there's a million tutorials about that pretty much anywhere. If your palm sticks to the surface, there are tablet gloves available for cheap. Huion even makes their own, which is a little lycra thing that works just fine for me.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Layers are magical.  Undo button and layer usage are the two simplest, yet most drastic advantages of digital art over physical.

I use several editors. In Photoshop it is convenient to work with layers but it's hard to get used to mixing brushes but it's easier to create an original brush or texture. PaintToolSai a convenient mix of brushes is an easy program and suitable for sketches. MyPaint is convenient for sketches and convenient hot keys (unlike many editors, you can change its size and density right during the stroke) (free license). Manga Studio is a very powerful editor, in my opinion it is very similar to the patented picture but more advanced (it is possible to create templates, brushes, textures, it is possible to use the three-dimensional model of a person to select the desired angle and make a sketch or see the proportions from this angle). I am personally use Photoshop, the most advanced editor I know, two big drawbacks - you need to get used to it, and it's not free.

He kind of looks like he's thinking "dayum, look at that piece of hotness"  :D

Also, many thanks for the suggestions concerning digital doodles.
