I always find it fascinating how you colour your pages, going over one character fully (shading included) before moving to the rest. Is there a pragmatic reason for that, or is it just a matter of personal preference?

It's a bit of both ^^

First of all, for me it goes quicker, and when drawing comics this is a significant factor, second, I want my characters to be more detailed than the background so they attract the eye more easily, and third, it gives me more leeway when I finalize the picture. I basically save my individual characters as dynamic objects, then I do a bit of post prod to make their colors fit into the page. I do not shy away from adding more highlights and shadows once they are splashed into the page, so the result comes out more harmoniously

I know very well that pros do not do that, but again I'm not formally taught I expended upon what worked for me and developped my style organically, like that.

That does make sense, and as long as it works for you, who cares what the pros do? :)

(I might actually give that method a try... Who knows? Maybe it'll work better than my usual "colour ALL THE THINGS then get discouraged because it looks so flat, leave it on hiatus for a week, then come back and try to remember how the zog the light works" ^^)

Oh yeah, leaving one's comfort zone is always good, even if you don't stick with the method you might learn from it. Also...the resistance, it's the artist's worst enemy.

(Tho if you are going with this method I suggest you have a basic sketch of the whole scene laid out before drawing the individual characters, so when you splash the character onto the scene they are consistant with the camera)

Been a bit lazy putting up any newer artwork, so here's a couple of older ones from 2014 (if I remember correctly):

Oh, it's not a part of the sheath, it's a super heavy weak of the blade. Basically a blunt part of the blade you can use to parry or as a grip to halfsword with.

I usually put some metal at the end of my sheaths, but since that sword is super makeshift, it's plain wood. Tho it had a rope attached to it and mysteriously disapeared a few pages ago, nobody knows where it is

Oh, yeah, that probably needs some explaining. Long story short: I made a poster for a couple of friends yearly party and at the previous party some drunken guys had decided to have a wrestling match naked. So it's a reference to that. :)

And nice work with your comic. Likeing the forest background a lot.

Cathar, I think in this context you want to use "moral" rather than "morale".
I do like that line though. It fits adventurer mode pretty well.

Ah bummer, foiled once again, this time after I deleted the psd
Welp, what to do what to do.

Guess I'll have to keep the typo. No biggie, I m not paid to do that.

So...last page ? Almost. I still have a cover to do after that, but that's pretty much the end of the substory
