Ok, here's the first iteration, which will get heavily revamped after some consultations with a friend:

His abdomen appears to extend downwards too far, unless he's some kinda serpentman. :o

Yeah, that was supposed to be ambiguous as he's this scary scary desert assasin always clad in shadows and whatnot. And since he's called the Red Serpent it only makes sense that he'd be a snakeman, or is he really just a killer who's good at marketing and special effects.

Sadly this is a bit too subtle and a bit too much to fit on a single card so his tail will be a bit more obvious (what an understatement :C )

I've got my hands on Ultra Fractal, a program for creating fractal images. Since I don't know how to write fractal formulas and don't intend to learn it, I've downloaded a truckload of presets from various websites. Combining them together creates some trippy-looking pictures.

All four of those would be desktop material if they were sized right. I especially like the second and third ones.

edit: (boy do I edit almost all of my posts here) I decided that since the pattern doesn't touch the edges, it wouldn't be hard to extend the gradient out to match my resolution. The original image fit almost perfectly, and it was a breeze from there. My desktop has never been groovier. If anyone else with a 1600x900 monitor wants a piece of the disco, I'd be happy to let you join in on the party.

Dwarves passing by get good thoughts from the mist of water and exploding felines.
Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Some of those fractals are gorgeous. :D And that "Red Serpent" fellow is looking pretty damn fine too.

Here's a project I'm working on... I made the carrier, but the background is from a game called Limit Theory. (and sorry for the bad background quality - it's still a WIP.)

My group switched to using Maptool for playing D&D because one of our core players moved to China. I decided to offer to make them tokens for it.
Here's one I made for my sister, who plays a Kobold Bard:

Unfortunately, I didn't save the other fractal files.

I'm entering a contest, and I need a number of 3d spaceship models (fighter/bomber class)... I've made one so far, and I'm looking for suggestions on how I could improve it (without going crazy with detail - I'm thinking body shape/coloration/etc).

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Nothing fancy... I don't want to be texturing decals or anything on just yet - the ship is going to be seen from a distance anyway. I'm just looking for suggestions on the shape and coloration.

Tron lines? Tron lines can be good, though you'd have to mess with glowmaps.

THIS

has taken way too much time

KIND OF happy with it? Should've used a smaller brush for the dark crystal outlines. Also shouldn't have sprinkled it with those small dots. Oh well, it's supposed to be a background for my in-progress personal website, where the websitey part obscures the middle of it, anyways. :U
