Updating sloooooowly

Here's one you can try:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's kinda long, I don't expect the entire thing in detail, but you'll probably find something interesting to draw.  A Titan walked up to my front door.  I looked away for a second and when I looked back at the game, the Titan was dead.  Apparently it stumbled into the public dining room and everyone and their pets layed a massive smackdown.  I modded the game to play as fox furries, so they are mostly biting and scratching instead of punching and kicking, and you may see a message about their tails.  Feel free to draw them as dwarves instead.

I made the titan a starspawn because I was out of ideas.

Heh. Super cute~

Nice, Jopax.
I particulary like the knight at the bottom middle.

Been taking a break from cramming studying for tests for the next to days to instead fiddle with GIMP and see what cool stuff I can get using pre-existing images. So...shopping. Probably should've just said shopping. Whatevs.

Here are the two original images I used. Source 1 and Source 2

Here's some stuff I got out of it. This used Source 1. This and this used Source 2.

Think I got some cool new desktop wallpapers out of the second two of them, and I learned some more about using gradients and layer types.

Until I finish this (In terribly low quality, to which I am sorry, but I am lacking the time of another week... I have 3 days... not even.) here is about half of the 'animation' I am doing for my class.
It is on Dwarf Fortress.

My teacher is ever slowly suspecting my sanity.
Also my secretary (and her secretary) are still only making calls.
Not like they can help anyhow.

Sorry, its an SWF, you must listen to it at my Stash.
I will upload the full version by the end of Weds (Due Date is Thursday AT school.) (I only had like, this weekend and these few days to work on it.)
Maybe next time I will come to the DF community for help.

AAA SO MANY THINGS I COULD COMMENT

Gonna stick to the few that i have constructive things to say about though, sorry guys. :v

Thanks a lot for the compliments! They're very encouraging.

You're quite welcome! Also MIXING PIXEL SIZES FFFFFFF- I mean, it's generally good practice to stick to the same pixel size through the entire piece; i'm mostly referring to mooncat here. But beyond that, i quite like how you handled the clouds. c:

AAA MOUNTAINS

Could do with some more o' that delicious contrast though, i've found that you need to make shockingly large differences between light and dark in order to convey depth properly. Here's a shoddy example of what i mean:

CONTRAST. Notice the borderline obscene difference in value between light and dark. You may/may not be surprised to know that reality does this too; next time you're outside in sunshine, notice just how much darker your shadow actually is in comparison to the surrounding lit area. It's quite a lot, so don't be afraid to go nuts with your own shading. :v

also babby snak that i also posted in the happy thread

You post a snake in the happy thread? How incongruous of you. Now if the snake was on fire, i'd be very happy indeed.

Have you...considered doing purely anatomical drawings? The shading, structuring and positions would do well for that kind of art. :D

Drawing all the bones. Oh goodness the fun.

Yeah that was just a little gag I did in the middle of a WIP because I was showing it off in IRC and someone mentioned something about Majora's Mask moon. :P NORMALLY I would never ever use a brush.

Thanks, I'm not totally satisfied with them just yet, they don't quite look right. I think I might get rid of the bright sky and make it look stormy as I originally intended.
