Those look great! Smooth animation too, I wouldn't bat an eye if that was in an informational ad or online instruction manual!

Thanks. Unfortunately, the render doesn't show much of the details. I tried tinkering with the lighting a bit, but I don't have much experience with setting up a Blender scene for a render.

Here's a sloppy collage that hopefully shows off the detail a bit more. I also photobashed actual cartridge pictures onto the cartridges.

Anyways, here's an untextured magical girl's sword. I found some pixel art in that style and felt like recreating it.

I've been working on adapting The Shadow Prince, a Nintendo Adventure gamebook, as a Twine story. It's nowhere near finished, but it's taken me three days so far to trace this stupid map and I want people to see it.

Spoiler: My trace (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Original page (click to show/hide)

The scan I'm working from was made sometime in 2000, so it's hard to make out details in a lot of these drawings. Luckily the Stalfos in the maze are based on a bigger drawing elsewhere in the book, so I can redo those. The same can't be said for a lot of the other drawings.

You would have to be a very small child to be entertained by these books. The "puzzles" are the kind you'd see on a cereal box, or a children's placemat at Denny's. I was worried about writing a ton of Javascript to include them in a way that makes sense, but a lot of them can be adapted by just letting the player draw on the images with a <canvas> tag.

Hey, thanks! :)

Here's the Stalfos drawing from the map, as it appears elsewhere in the book. As you can see, it's a lot more detailed and spooky than my first crappy trace of the map would lead to believe.

And a drawing of Link from one of the game over passages.

Here's the first puzzle I actually felt compelled to write a real minigame for, as opposed to just letting the player draw on the image. It's also the first puzzle where I decided the player actually must solve to progress--the continue button won't appear until you solve all the clues. I have to say, Javascript and CSS are not as hard as they first appear. It's a matter of actually doing something you're invested in, as opposed to just following along with tutorials.

Birb makes me think of an angry Scottish Wren, small but not to be underestimated in addition to being very very angry.

A simple Feather dagger. Not quite happy with it; the wireframe is a mess, and something seems off about it, but I can't tell what.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Maybe if it was a little smoother, and had some frills.

It's actually for a staff, but I figured since I was messing with clouds anyways, I'd throw it into the scene.

Nice models, i really enjoy seeing the progress you've made! Have to say though, the scabbard looks uh, uncomfortably similar to a certain thing. :V

Big thank! I've been a bit unsure about the new doodle strats (and i've been having a rough spot recently) so i'm glad to hear it works. c:

Pound for pound, i believe the tiny wrens are the angriest creatures in the world, how else could they be so loud?

It's meant to be heart-shaped, like the sword. I guess I'd better redo it then.

Anyways, volumetric lighting practice.
