A doom mod project I've been working on every-now-and-again.

The biggest change (other than new levels naturally) is a pallet swap to grayscale with red accents, which was a bit inspired from the game "Madworld".  Which required changing a whole bunch of other textures/sprites, so you could still tell the keys and armor pickups apart, or to just have more red stuff in the game, like red health bonuses or the soulsphere being red.

My computer asplode. But I did finish this plague scythe about a week ago.

And this knight someone requested that I just recovered. A bit low-detail, but right now it looks like I'd have to restart from scratch if I want it finished.

RIP computer D: These are nice.

I am a big fan of greyscale in games. This is very cool, keep it up! And send more screenshots.

More like regression as we get closer to antiquity, surely? :P Looking good.

@Cathar Also looking good! I've always been a sucker for Nobushi's style and design. Something something isagiyoki shine although it's been a long time since I heard the lines so that's probably really badly messed up.

I'm really tired and burned out on life at the moment, and slightly sick, but I've managed to do a couple of speedpaints.

Edit: I made a video of the painting process too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA3m2_SozdU

Thanks. I hope you feel better soon. The speed paint looks really good.

Here's a rose-rapier and a unicorn shield.

Ah, I like that rapier. Truly, the attractive nerd of swords.

I find the shield very cool, but I would prefer one with a straight horn. Nice work!

I am still working on the tunic, but I found some time for drawing, too.

I wish I could post me playing the midi's I rearranged in FFXIV.

I might get in trouble with the TOS lol.

Ok here. I'm doing Christmas songs, those are generally safe - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozlEGHSyqys&feature=youtu.be

It's a private link, don't share it please :)

I don't make music from scratch, and therefore can't claim full credit. I do sometimes put a lot of work into a song, because FFXIV has INFURIATING limitations, such as a 3 octave range, and until very recently an inability to play full chords. It's very much like playing music on a playskool piano. Wrestling a full, complex piece like Despacito into 3 octaves played on a medieval lute is an exercise in patience. This one took very little actual work, I only had to drop it an octave, bring up a few of the lower notes, and add a couple tiny personal touches (the little trill 3/4 of the way through, etc). I'm still proud of my little songs, such as they are :>

Hi I'm new here. I tried DF two times before, and bounced off it. It's the third time now and it looks like I'll be sticking around for a long time. ^_^ Besides playing games I like to draw and make freeware games (woodsmoke at itch.io). I drew these recently:

Intellectual dwarf

Rugged dwarf

I've got more (less dwarf-y) drawings over at deviantart.com/melerski

Awesome, I'm flattered! I've been eager to see Thob and co. in someone else's hands. The team looks a lot more capable in your style than mine :)

Same -- though I've gotten kind of used to my paper sketch > phone photo > touch up and color with the mouse workflow.

On that point: any recommends for an amateur-level tablet and art software?
