Turn 2

Players Go

Quote from: Dwarmin
Call out in the Zort language "All hail the Supreme Overlord!"-which they are supposed to stand at attention for when called out.

[5] Erin yells out "All hail the Supreme Overlord!" in perfect Zorthwoopese, a complex mess of fricatives and consonant clusters that inspire terror in the heart of any Zort. And it works - all the five Zorts in the room stand at attention and salute, as if expecting the Supreme Overlord himself to appear. She then proceeds to fire at the nearest one, [1=1-1 vs. 2=4-2] but fumbles with her gun instead. -1 to attack next turn as she readjusts her grip.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Salute whilst Erin shouts out, then dash to the door and trap the Zort in the room, meleeing any which approach.

As Erin belts out the phrase, Hilda [3=4-1] salutes convincingly, then [3=4-1] dashes to the door to block the Zorts from escaping, preparing to get her hands dirty if any of them tries anything.

Quote from: Zako
Roll into the closest bit of cover possible then open fire on the closest Zort!

Ren quickly checks his surroundings and [4=5-1] dodges behind a nearby object that resembles a control panel, hiding himself from all but two of the Zorts. He then aims at one of the Zorts in line of sight, [1=2-1-1 vs 3=5-2] but accidentally drops his gun. -1 to attack next turn as he re-arms himself.

Quote from: Tiruin
Follow Dwarmin/Erin's plan. Perform a roll while shooting sporadically at the Zort's general position afterwards.

Lorren [5=6-1] rolls out of the line of fire and aims at a nearby Zort, [3=5-1-1 vs. 4=6-2] but the shot goes between it and the Zort near it.

Enemies Go

The startled and confused Zorts [6] quickly realize they have been tricked, and start scrambling to do something about this new threat.

One heads to the door Hilda guards (It could see Ren but can no longer), provoking Hilda [2=3-1 vs 1=3-2] to shove the butt of her raygun against its shoulder, inflicting 1 damage.

Two more fire at Erin, [1=2-2 vs 5=6-1] [4=6-2 vs 4=5-1] one dropping its gun out of fear and the other missing.

Another heads for the door opposite Hilda, [6] which it accidentally slides into and bounces off of, falling on its ass.

The last one (the only one now which can see Ren from his hiding spot) aims at Ren, [1=3-2 vs 3=4-1] but cries for its mother instead of attacking.

Recruit

A second scout ship approaches the mothership and [5] teleports Franz aboard, who had the foresight to be standing.

Handstand recovery, leap into air, shoot a bad guy while airborne.

Franz smiled to himself. Show time!

Try to make contact with the first team, neutralising all enemies en route.

Tiruin, you already composed yourself last round automatically.

vagel7, sorry if I was unclear - You all are in the same room right now.

All five of you are in a room with the five Zorts, and only two of you have -1 because you fumbled last turn (Ren and Erin).

Will give you the opportunity to adjust.

Take cover and take out the nearest Zork

I had not realized my own kinesthetic position...

Ignore past actions.
Get up and aim, fire at the farthest Zort.

Turn 3

Let's Kick Some Zort Ass!

Quote from: Zako
Blast the Zort that's going for the door opposite Hilda.

Ren rises slightly above his cover, aims at the Zort who just ran face-first into the door, and [4=5-1 vs 2] blasts it in the shoulder for 2 damage.

Quote from: lawastooshort
Elbow the face off the Zort attacking me.

With a grunt, Hilda [3 vs 1] elbows the nearby Zort in the nose to the tune of 2 damage, knocking it off-balance.

Quote from: Tiruin
Get up and aim, fire at the farthest Zort.

Lorren also notices the Zort opposite Hilda from across the room and [5 vs 3=4-1] lands a torso shot for 2 damage. It is looking a little worse for the wear.

Quote from: Dwarmin
Handstand recovery, leap into air, shoot a bad guy while airborne.

Erin [3=4-1] does a slightly clumsy handstand but manages to get to her feet, then [4=5-1] leaps towards some empty space in the room, meanwhile aiming at the one meleeing Hilda [3=6-1-1-1 vs 1=1-1], and shooting it in the face for 2 damage, blood spraying slightly as it falls over dead. She then [3] tumbles somewhat clumsily to Hilda's side.

Quote from: vagel7
Take cover and take out the nearest Zork

Franz [4=5-1] spots the console Ren is taking cover behind and rolls over to join him. Franz doesn't see any Zorks around, but the Zort in view of the cover he and Ren are behind looks like a worthy enough target. He aims [5=6-1 vs 1=1-1] and singes the skin off its face for 4 damage. It is alive but very unhappy-looking.

In Which (Almost) Every Zort is Incompetent

The nearly dead Zort at the door opposite Hilda rushes at Lorren, now the only target in the middle of the room, [2=4-1-1 vs 5] but Lorren sidesteps expertly. This does not deter the Zort, who rushes again [3=5-1-1 vs 1] and punches him in the face for 2 damage and knocks him off-balance.

The remaining three living Zorts also think Lorren makes a good target, so they take aim with their rayguns [5 vs 5=6-1] [1 vs 5-1] [4=5-1 vs 3=4-1] and between them manage to singe his shoulder slightly for 1 damage. One of them drops its raygun.

Spoiler: Modifier Explanations (click to show/hide)

Clarification: Fumbling and off-balance (-1 attack and -1 dodge respectively) take effect from the moment they happen until the end of next turn.

Spoiler: Hilda (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Lorren (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Ren (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Erin (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Franz (click to show/hide)

(Feel free to let me know if I missed something or something needs to be clarified.)

Erin laughed crazily at the improbable success of her meaningless stunt.

"Did everybody see that? I'm such a badass! Ahahaha!"

Action: Fire in the direction of the unwounded Zorts!

"Yeah! Take that, overly cautious Zort fiends!" Hilda screamed, as she leapt at the nearest enemy, nails and elbows flailing, "Nice jumping Erin!"

Engage nearest enemy in melee using the "flying knee face-crusher" technique!

Franz introduces himself to Ren before moving on to a better shooting position

Franz moves to a better shooting position and kills some more Zorts.
