A world swarming with NECROMANCERS!

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

I'm not your average Bay12er. I care about my drunken midgets.

I can think of more Fun ways for worlds to exist.....A world where it rains more or less constantly, is mostly (all) low lying and is a nice tropical/warm temperature, thus: water everywhere, so you're working with Aquifer on Aquifer on Aquifer, swamp everywhere, surface water everywhere, alligators everywhere, no good water sources without a pump to purify it, very few mountains at all, and just little bit of forest just to keep the badgers happy and ready to kill dwarves on sight. And a load of megabeasts. The ones that can drown will do so, the rest...well...
woohoo! Skinless tentacled crocodiles with poisonous blood! MY FAVOURITE!

Then you have the aforementioned Planet Evil idea, where zombie carp, whales, badgers, dwarves, former collegues and.....wait a second. If things can reanimate automatically after a while in Evil biomes, that means...

...ZOMBIE FORGOTTEN BEASTS! HECK YEAH! Why lose 9/10ths of the fort to a horrific rotting burning death if the Fun isn't going to just start up again in a couple of weeks?  :D

Sadly, all water can be drank from if it's drank from a well :(

Although the rest sounds diabolical! Once the update comes out...

Evil aquifer-filled swamp world? Just add were-slugman dwarves and it'd be perfect.

Don't dwarven ladies know they're beautiful the way they are? They don't need to starve themselves to look like those elven bitches.

Stop! Necro time!
If Sol is still compatible with the new version or we can make a new one, I'm interested in how an evil region on Sol would work. Constantly reanimating fire dead people?

Apparently world gen doesn't allow total deathworlds anymore. Shame really.

Been busy. Tried a few times to gen another fireball but it took too long to seem it would ever finish. Been focusing elsewhere since then. Feel free to try though :P

I want to know when/if you succeed on that. And how many rejections it takes.

A bit of superficial messing around shows you can easily make a world with very deadly locations, simply by using the maximum temperature range (-1000 to +1000). But if you shoot for all-hot or all-cold worlds, it seems the game fails to place any civilisations at all.

And getting your dwarfs underground doesn't reliably save them - shallow underground locations are still listed as 'hot' or 'cold' and your people will still freeze/melt to death there.
