The pit

So, in my new fortress, im building a pit to house my captives in. theres a 2z drop into it, and its a 3x3 platform surrounded by water then walls.my plan is to pit captives into it then either wait for them to begin to fight or designate it as a pond zone and pour water in until its all at around 3/7. then i wait for winter. my captives watching, waist deep in water, as the frost slowly forms at the edges and moves in, freezing them all alive.

oh, yes, one other detail its made entirely of

Why?
Don't we all just love terrifying freezing biome embarks?

With those things around every freaking embark would turn into a freezing embark in matter of days if not hours.
