MECs get special Kinetic Strike animations versus mechtoids, berserkers, sectopods and (iirc) cyberdisks (not 100% on the last one).

You want some bread with all dat cheese too? :P

fuck no, I put cheese on my cheese.  Sometimes with butter in between to make a little sammich.

Sounds like you need some cheese and cheese to go with your cheese and cheese. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook:Chupaqueso

With the announcement of Xcom 2 I went back to play EW.

Unfortunately I tried it on I/I and remembered why I/I pisses me off.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Gah, Marathon mode, Y U NO PANIC BALANCE?

Lost Canada and Mexico already, although things seem to be stabilizing now - and that's with acing every single mission. Other Second Wave options are pretty hilarious though - recruits with 29 Will without wounds or anything, a ninja Heavy (Low Profile + Mimetic Skin + Heavy = <3)...

There is also one special animation if you are a bit higher then the enemy (but not quite on a different level) where your MEC punches downwards poundung them into the ground.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if that dish actually is dangerously tasty, though.

Totally is.  Crispy fried cheese is the best.  Add a soft melty cheese center, possibly with bacon or other ingredients.. worth invading a world for.

Sometimes I just make taco shells out of cheese.  Fry it up and then dry it in a shell shape, like it was a corn tortilla.

The Etherials came to take it, but I'm going to take my stupid god-modded xcom force and defend the cheese of humanity.

GMG has xcom stuff on sale right now.

I used the opportunity to finally pick up the Slingshot DLC.

Between the sale price and the 48hr discount code, its only $1.78

Gash. I just had a notice that some Newfoundland village has gone dark. And I don't even have enough laser weapons to equip my full squad.

What are the consequences of giving up on the mission?

The oppurtunity cost of not doing it.
I have never once been ready for that mission in Long War.  The closest I've come is having laser weapons be two days from completion in manfucturing while most of my A-squad was in the med bay.
