Up/down stairs supporting stuff.

I didn't think up/down stairs could support stuff, and have been building as if they cannot for the longest time...

Yet I just accidentally left something supported by just an up/down stairs and didn't get ridiculously owned by a cave-in.

I guess I was wrong about this?

Yep. I regularly build my floors outward from a constructed stairway.

But you can't build things off upward ramps?

Since ramps are useless without an adjacent wall anyway, why does it matter that they don't provide support?
