Except you don't actually know any specific martial arts.  Living in the wilderness for a few years has made you more athletic, and you have a good grasp on basic self defense techniques, like normal punches, kicks, and grabs.  Your current levels:

Lvl. 1 Strike
Lvl. 1 Grapple
Lvl. 1 Dodge

You need to ascend to Lvl. 2 to learn a move.  For example, you need Lvl. 2 Strike to learn COBRA LUNGE KICK.  Yes, I will be making up moves, entire martial arts composed of this stuff.  We'll get to that later.

Rules:

For each level up in each of the three skills, one martial arts move may be learned at either a dojo, from some obscure, plot related teacher, or can be developed from scratch by our action-packed hero himself, Jackie Chan Style. 

For example:

Hero levels up in striking!  His striking level is now 2.  He can make/learn one new move. 

In this example, I'll use something called...RHINOCEROS CHARGE

Name: RHINOCEROS CHARGE
Target: Main torso
Description: A powerful tackle with the martial artist using his forearm to ram the chest of an opponent.  If done properly, the torso ( or other specified body part ) will suffer a certain level of injury.

I will make up rules as I go along.

Do a perfect bow and get into your awesome fighting stance. Ninjas speak with their swords and fist, and this one just wants to talk to you real bad.

Just for the record, you cannot do specific moves YET.  Only lvl 1.  As he progresses...we'll talk later.  Right now, if people want to fight the ninja, someone has to suggest a general attack like...

Grapple the ninja!  Use strikes against the ninja!  Dance around the ninja!  These are determined by the current skill level, since it's at level 1, no attack bonus or penalties.

Also, New Guy, to do that sort of move, Flash Gordon would probably have to be Strike lvl.7 or something, and would have to learn that specific move from a dojo, or develop it himself. 

So it's a bit far away right now.
