So we can resist raging against all the new attempts at remaking it.....
*Not including Xenonauts of course, which is the only real successor.


Difficulty 3/6 Veteran

Problems:

A) Where to place the base?
B) Sign up for X-Com to die destroy all aliens and win the game!
*No respawning, no unlimited ammo. Only pure X-Com terror.

I think Japan might be a nice place to start. Situated close to USA and Asia and i've never started there before!

Delta Foxtrot:
Switzerland seems like a nice place to get settled.

At any rate, sign me in : Dick Mountainjoy.
Prefered skill : Throwing
Equipment  : All the grenades the world has to offer, laser rifle (explosive weapon later on? :O)
Behavior : Normal, with a twist : Auto-shot the walls with laser rifle, if no enemies are visible.

Prefered skill : psychokinesis! CRUSH THE XENOS WITH YOUR MIND!
Equipment  : Stun baton, proximity grenades
Behavior : A complete and utter coward, Hide him behind Dick Mountianjoy always


Also, I'd go with switzerland, since you can defend a lot of countries from there. I'd suggest a second base to go in AMERICA, and a third in china.
