Adventure mode = 100,000x as fun

So on the announcements page, ThreeToe gave us some details about adventure mode saying it was 100,000x more fun (which I take as having 100,000 more ways to die), but what do you think lies in wait for us in this release, other than dungeons and new cities?

wereanimaling, vampiring, raising the dead, exploring the sewers and tombs, dying of hunger, etc.

EDIT: but I guess thats more of a dwarf fortress mode thing, so nvm

Being able to starve = easily makes it 50,000x funner.

Being able to starve = easily makes it 50,000x funner.

And maybe bogeymen get replaced with nocturnal millipedemen (2 legs, 998 weapon-wielding arms, carapace) to account for much of the other 50,000.

Although it's more likely it's something like an elaborate requisition system for asking towns to consider producing items so you could buy them, with the new items of paperwork, quill, ink reservoir, writing brush, seal wax and seal, and new half-implemented morality/bribing system for officials to go with this. Also, the ability to trip on tree roots to add to realism, where of course you can die or get paralyzed if very unlucky. joking, I know it's the actual cool stuff mentioned above

anyways i just cant wait to play the full version of DF on my 90th birthday!.


on topic: evil zones will actually be a threat to adventurers, instead of somewhere you walk through on the way to that next quest.

I read it as 100,000x more fun, not 100,000x more FUN. I am not a true Dwarf, I shall leave...  :-[

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

Well, fun and Fun are much the same thing, really! Or at least, Fun is a type of fun. :)
I enjoy watching my fortresses be overrun by whatever horrible monstrosities attack them, and I enjoy reclaiming the bloody remains of what's left!

And I enjoy dragging my ragged and tattered body through the wilderness after having been rent limb from limb by undead bears only to die of starvation in the butchers shop because I can't find the food I just purchased.

yeah im kinda tired of dragging half a bandit camp back to town in order to get a iron sword.
