I rather enjoy my sega genesis / SNES / GBA emulator on my android, puts all other android games to shame. I also play words with friends with friends and words.
What one do you use?  I can't seem to find one that works.

EDIT: Woops, nearly forgot about that.  Thanks Frumple.

I use GameBoid for GBA, Gensoid for Genesis, and Snesoid for SNES, all made by the same person,
the snesoid in the marketplace is fake, they all cost money in the marketplace, but can be gotten for free online if you know how to use an android.
they all support saving in game and save states. gensoid and snesoid both support playing multiplayer online. (over wireless lan, or over VPN if you take the time to set it up, VPN is cool because I can play multiplayer games online with friends on the other side of the city etc.)

Alternatively if you do not want to go down the grey route, get the lite version of the -oid emulators from the SlideME market. Completely free, and the only disadvantage is that you can't load saved states as a limitation to the lite version (in-game saving is fine, though). I got my full version during a free promotion from the SlideME market.

SlideME was meant as a market for those who didn't have access to the paid Android market. And SlideME is pretty popular, anyway, you won't find the -oid emulators in the android market, they've been taken down. The author himself has said that he'll be hosting them in the SlideME market.

I started a thread not so long ago about ports of classic pc games to Android and other mobile operating systems: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=98997.msg2902084#msg2902084

I actually got Baldurs Gate 2 to work on my Samsung Galaxy S2.

This might be a bump.

Secondary markets are not full of virii, at least the main ones, such as Amazon and getjar.
I've had the most fun with Where's my Water, and then most of the X Story games, and then the new humble bundle is pretty sweet too.

I've also got my gameboid emulator but I don't have many roms.

Quite noteworthy: The new Humble Indie Bundle is actually an Humble Android Bundle, featuring:
Anomaly: Warzone Earth
Osmos
Edge (and Extension)
and if you pay above average:
World of Goo

World of Goo is perfect on Android, too.
Totally worth 5 dollars.

I've got an android tablet, but I haven't really been able to get into gaming on it.  I mostly use it to read comics.  :)

I have lately been playing some Go on it with the KGS android client though.

I'm pretty sure this is the most recent mobile gaming thread... certainly the most recent one that showed up in my search.

I've been playing a tonne of PuBG in the last couple of days, anyone else into that kinda thing?

Pocket games thread that's still on the first page of OG would be your active mobile gaming thread :P

"Pocket" games? Odd choice of words, but alright. Thanks for the heads up!

I enjoyed Angry Birbs like the basic person I am sometimes. ;.;

Sadly though, I'm still waiting for Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind to come off the phone so I can finally give it a shot.

Wait, what's the difference between this thread and the Pocket Games thread?

Both have to do with mobile games...
