The Dryad will come around eventually. After all, you both said you would love each other forever! And people who are in love don't lie to each other. You are certain of this.
You enter the barn and poke around the ground floor. The metal implements are rusted so badly they're nowhere near as useful as your dagger. Probably less weapon potential than one of the rocks you picked up. You find the dry light-brown skeleton of a horse in one of the open stalls. You haven't searched the loft.
Outside you search the "clearing" for a well and discover a ramshackle low-roofed building among the brush that you missed when you walked through before. To reach it you need to crawl on bare ground under a low tunnel of brush. The door is missing, and inside there is a square wooden hatch.
The house is all creaks and groans once you get inside. Sometimes a board is simply too weak to support your weight. It takes some time to get around carefully and even that is no guarantee. Or you can search faster, but more likely to step wrong.
You're in the front room of the house. There's a fieldstone fireplace, a moldy rotted carpet, a flimsy-looking long table with a few chairs, and a shelf with some knickknacks. The walls are wooden boards with faded white paint.
Exits are N (outside), E (kitchen), S (back room), stairs Up, and stairs Down.
