Apparently, around 5,000 games were released this year on Steam that won't earn enough to cover the $100 Stream registration fee.

I kinda want to check them out and see if I might be able to help a few reach that minimum threshold.

EDIT: So, you can do some looking on https://steamdb.info/.  Kinda forgot how much sloop is in the release cycle of games, lol.

I did however purchase It's Skrot-Robot Time!
Looking over the developer's game offerings, it appears that they developed a puzzle game and spliced it into around 4 frame games.  It's Skrot-Robot Time! and it's sister game It's Slime-Creep Time! are probably identical mechanically. I picked It's Skrot-Robot Time because the music was cooler (as opposed to It's Slime-Creep Time! music being annoying), and I imagine the same music will play on repeat throughout the game.
EDIT2: It looks like the developer might have found work with a gaming company.  They were looking for a job and their last game was released 2024.  Good luck, they seem talented based upon my brief playthrough of It's Skrot-Robot Time!
I'm encountering an error where the screen freezes up occasionally.  Remember: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.  That being said, I got about a half hour of enjoyment from the game for less than $3.
I've left a negative review after the provided email from Steam bounced back a Deamon Mailer.  It's abandoned, mate.
Based upon this experiences, I'll probably limit myself to games that seem to be still supported by their developer.

I also wishlisted and favorited Red vs. Green.  It looks like an interesting game, but I would currently prefer to get it on sale if possible.  We'll see. Basic pragmatism outweighed altruism for now.

Rising World just updated, adding PoIs to worlds, including existing ones. PoIs may be guarded by bandit NPCs or possibly hostile animals. Other features include the ability to rope animals, and open-top water containers filling from rain.

I... just noticed a complete, remastered, translated compilation of the Fantasy Maiden Wars games hit steam a few weeks ago. For those that aren't already aware of it, FMW is the Super Robot Wars edition of Touhou Fan Games, and, like.

From what I understand, they're unironically some of the best SRW style games in existence. Solid writing, slate of difficulty options including some that are appropriately touhou-punishing, fairly impressive mechanics both being on-point for SRW and implementing touhou design into it.

The steam release rolls up the full series (there's four, total, iirc, with various translation attempts going on and off over the years) into one, translates everything, and apparently polishes up a lot of the rougher edges. Has a demo, from the looks of it.

Haven't bought it -- might not, I'unno, the price is steeper than I tend to consider and there's other SRW stuff that's likely going to happen first -- but I figured there's probably folks around here that'd be interested to know it exists. Was a bit of a surprise to notice it, heh.

The Perfect Tower II, a semi-idle semi-TD that's also FREE, released from Early Access today. I've played it heavily before, but I don't think I've seen even half of the content.
