OOC: Concrete being a mix of sand, gravel, and water, you may not be able to mix it before the thaw, or at least until water no longer instantly freezes after you stop boiling it. Also, how far away is the research and the materials for basic armors?

Plenty of new guns from the high techers and that weird ruin. Bugs ought to fortify our food supply, and my wounds should be healed soon, but the burns will leave scars. Damn mortars... wish we could've salvaged one, but I've had my fun, and this cold is a more pressing issue anyways; hell, even the cat girl is wearing clothes, the animal. Thank fuck we got some warmer ones, though. Once we've patched the roof, and cooked the bugs, we'll be sitting rather pretty. New girl, says she dropped with us, but who could really tell. Just another poor soul, damned to walk with us. We've got to focus on what matters, and another mouth to feed isn't helping. Another pair of hands to help out could help, but she'll need to prove her worth. Give someone training, and lots of it, and anyone can be a soldier, but she's a bit slow, in the physical sense. Also, how is someone both agnostic evangelist? I guess I'll just ask her sometime.

Armors shouldn't be too far away I think, however I've been using a lot of Steel so now we're running out of that. Played a bit yesterday and set up a furnace so we can make more out of the insane amounts of coal and Iron ore we found kn the ruin. In other news, electrical lights are up. Also the insect hives can easily be farmed, the hives don't need food and keep spawning more insects. People dislike insect meat, but it's still pretty neat. Also, insects spawn without warning and a certain person lost his toe...

Either way, I'm betting that OP's inactivity in this thread is due to it taking a while to prepare an update thanks to excessive ingame !!FUN!!.

It's not like OP killed the run by accidentally installing an incompatible mod that lead to FPS death (which wasn't catsplosion related). 1.1 was going to break the modpack anyways.
