First turn is in progress now. The world has been generated, the embark has been picked and the earth has been struck. I picked a savage location in the hopes of potentially snagging some giant war animals down the line, let's see how that goes for us.

Apparently war animals will stick to their owners much more closely in this update. I hope it's not limited to just war dogs as the patch notes seem to mention them specifically.

Agh my schedule is going to be packed until mid-January so I don't think I can commit right now but excited to follow along!

Hey just so you know there are a few pretty decent bugs in this patch. I think Putnum said they would have a hotfix out fairly soon on the discord. If you parley with an army they never leave. Mothers picking up babies makes them lose agency forever so they starve and apparently a similar issue when picking up wounded soldiers and taking them to the hospital. Figuired i'd mention it

Can't it just be shorter, then? I think Gladius is a cool name, I would like to be dorfed in as a Gladius if possible, hopefully a military dwarf.
