There's... fairly notable archival efforts nowadays, a(n increasing) chunk of it in formatting that's fairly likely to outlive humanity. Etched crystal and junk like that. If you really got somethin' you want to say to future people, there's better options these days than paper, heh.

I now have pieces of antler. It was supposed to be a pre-made antler billet and tine, only it's pretty shoddily made.

Ironically this is kind of what I was after. It was near-impossible to find cheap, non-shed (They go spongy at the base when shed) antlers, there were no deer farms near me to get one and I don't know any deer hunters so I couldn't get them easily. I was wanting to make my own tools but it was seemingly impossible given that.

I ordered a billet and tine and get some stuff that's been cut to pieces and had the edges rounded some but the actual bit you use as a billet/tine are completely intact. I can actually make my own tools in the end!

Yes, I am vegetarian but the antlers aren't likely to see any use if they're harvested anyways. Any use they *do* see is likely to be in the form of dog chews. It's one of those I-feel-a-bit-bad-about-it-but-ultimately-I'm-using-meat-industry-byproducts things.

EDIT: I have achieved semi-consistent flaking!

Hello again, after disappearing for a week I have returned.

I don't know what the hell was going on with my sleep last week but it was complete shit, I'd wake up and do all the normal stuff I had to do then feel completely exhausted and immediately pass out after only being up a few hours. Not sure what was going on but after going through that a few days I managed to fix whatever it was that was wrong with my sleeping.

I've worked out a way, even if it's only temporary, to bypass my ADHD and get some work done.

I only got 45 minutes of work done today but it was a very productive 45 minutes. I'm feeling good.

I'm basically exploiting a combination of getting out of the house, away from distractions, somewhere I'm comfortable, and being surrounded by people. Combining those four seems to let me actually focus down on what I'm doing.
