TolyK: Probably related to Toaster's screw up with Max getting a message about hitting TolyK. Who cares, though.

Night two, Webadict claims to have used a wand of door creation. Now, we know that Simple's items as of night two didn't include such a wand. Simple didn't use a wand of door creation on TolyK and we're gonna assume Webadict didn't either. Wanna know how I know it wasn't Simple? /oProbing inspects at the inspection phase of the night while throwing items away happens at the end. So if Simple tried to use a wand of door creation (or anything else) and throw it away, I would of seen it while he still had it. Simple actually none'd N2. Webadict was busy recruiting, meaning that anybody who can be confirmed acting N2 is confirmed not cult member.

Darvi: Who bussed if Darvi door creation'd?
Max White: How could the cult know about the bussing if Max was busy with TolyK? (Note: Technically if Webadict tried to convert me and figured out that a bussing was involved, Max isn't clear. So if you think Web isn't THAT smart, Max is still a culprit.)

So that leaves us with that Simple, Think, and OB. Simple is obviously already known to be a cultist, so our next lynch is OB followed by Think. That should be game over at that point, but if it isn't, I'm willing to lynch off Max White at 3p with a cultist. This is Webadict after all, he could have guess that.

Of course OB could be lying about the /oDC in the item pool, but then OB is obviously scum anyways. And if Webadict tried to convert me, we're going to win this tonight. Dont' worry OB, we're going to get the rest of the scum, guaranteed. If you're cult, though, worry very, very much.

After a quick discussion, it is clear the Simple one dies today.  He simply hangs his head and stands there.  “Go ahead.  My master is gone, and with it, there is no more power.  All hope is lost.”

After he falls, you search his body.  Tools of a thief are found, and it clear from his diary that he has been influenced by the power of the jewel.

It is yet to be found though.  Where could it be?

You depart for the night.  The search must continue tomorrow.


Night 4 has begun!

Night 4 will last until Monday, 9/19 at 11 PM EST.

Day dawns, and the group gathers in the central cavern.  OrangeBottle’s corpse is lying in the middle of the room, and the four survivors gather around it.  Looks like he was just a simple transmuter, innocent of this plot.

Max White is standing at the central pedestal.  The Emperor’s Jewel sits there, reunited at last.  Its power is visibly connected to him.  It’s him!  He has it... but why don’t you feel like destroying it any more?

“Greetings, my minions!  Last night, my associate Darvi and I were able to remove the last obstacle in our path.  With that gone, the piece of the Jewel I had, sensing the time was right, called its brother home.  Reunited at last, I can use it to bend all to my will!”

Jim Groovester and Mr.Person struggle to resist, but they cannot.  They are compelled to heed his words.

“Gentlemen, let us head back to the nearest town.  Once I secure it, we can establish a kingdom, dedicated to my greatness!”

Darvi laughs.  “Yes, my liege.  Come, you two!  Perhaps we can make lieutenants out of you yet, once we clear your mind of unnecessary memories and desires!”

Max White leads the group out of the cave.  The Emperor's Jewel has returned.


Game over!  Max White and Darvi have won!

Max White:

This “Emperor’s Jewel” is clearly an affront to humanity, and must be destroyed to rid the world of its taint!  You set off with the group to do just that.

The first night, you spot something shining off to the side.  Curious, you pick it up... and are shocked by its beauty.  So wonderful... surely this is a gift from above?

As you study it, something grows inside you.  A feeling of power, but yet incomplete. This is only part of the whole!  You MUST find the rest... and the others are out to stop you!  But there is power yet in this.  There is enough power to convince one other to serve you unswervingly, and even to give that person a taste of true power...

Yes.  You must find the rest of the gem, and get rid of these fools who wish to destroy it!

You’ve got a couple scrolls that may be of use as well.


Piece of the Emperor’s Jewel:  Once per game, you may target someone at night to dominate their mind, and have them join your side.  That person will be granted a single kill to be used at night as well.  This person will remain aligned with you even if you die.  Your mental focus prevents this action from being redirected.


Scroll of Inspect:  You are informed of the target's alignment. Possible results are Town, Mafia, and Third Party.

Scroll of Slowing:  Target's action is delayed until the next night.


You win when everyone not aligned with you is dead.  Your survival is not required.



Firelordsky:

You joined the adventuring party after a misunderstanding when trying to sell wands to the other members.  Instead of making a profit, you ended up going with them!  You brought one of your wands you grabbed from the shop for good measure.

As you journeyed deeper in the cavern, you got a bit behind the rest of the group.  As you hurried to catch up, you trip over a rock.  You glance at it... hey, that’s no rock!  It’s some sort of gem!  You stick it in your pocket.

That night, it calls to you.  Tells you secrets... of power.  Yes, much power.  But it’s not complete!  You must find the rest of this jewel.  Yes, you must.  There’s enough power here to let you dominate the mind of one person, and even give that person enough power to blast one other out of your way.  Yes.  These fools will soon know power...

After the local actor’s guild kicked you out, you took up adventuring.  You’ve set out with this group to destroy this so-called Emperor’s Jewel, but now you must use your wits to eliminate those that oppose your task!  You’ve got a couple scrolls that may be of use.

Scroll of Command:  The target actions you tonight.

Scroll of darkness:  Other actions against target have a 50/50 chance of failing.


Think0028:

You have served the gods faithfully for many years as a holy priest.  After many years of temple duty, you have been commanded to set forth and destroy this Jewel as an affront to the gods.  A wand and scroll were given to you by a divine miracle- can they help you complete your quest?

Wand of Protection:  The target is protected from one kill tonight.

Scroll of Mail:  Lets you send an anonymous message to one player.  PM the mod with the message and target.  This does not count as an action and may be done at any time.  The message will be sent as soon as possible.


Mr.Person:

To be honest, you’re not really interested in what this Emperor’s Jewel does.  You’re far more interested in taking its base components and seeing what wonderful creation you can make out of it.  Looks like you’ll have to get through this ordeal first, though.  You’ve got one magical item you found on the way to start you out!

Scroll of Confusion:  Target is redirected at random.


Orangebottle:

You, like most Transmuters, are interested in what makes things tick.  This Emperor’s Jewel must be fairly disruptive to other creations to wield the powers it does.  You had enough desire to see it gone to set out with this group to destroy it.  Now, however, you’ll have to outwit those that oppose you to survive!

You brought one scroll with you.

Scroll of Remove Curse:  Target is immune to "Curse" class effects for the night. Any ongoing curses are removed.


Dariush:

Fame and glory!  That’s what a mighty warrior like yourself can find on a quest!  You’re less concerned with the actual goal than what your reward for destroying this Jewel will be.  Your melee skills should help when it comes to outwitting these fools that are trying to manipulate your group.  Failing that, you’ve got a scroll up your sleeve.

Scroll of Swapping    Choose two players.  All actions that would target one player target the other instead.


NUKE9.13:

Apprentice mages like you rarely participate in such adventures, but not this time.  You’re out to prove your worth as a mighty caster.  If you can survive this trial and destroy the Emperor’s Jewel, no one will doubt your power!  You’ve got a scroll that should back up your words with power.

Scroll of Self Defense:  You will kill the next person who actions you.  This effect lasts until it triggers.


billybobfred:

You joined up to this group to offer your skills a thief to try to get the others out of sticky situations.  This sort of situation, however, was not one you were thinking of.  Your magic ring isn’t good enough to get you out of this easily- you’ll have to figure your own way out of this one.
