I think we've been getting steps further from this benchmark point I set when I was young.

And then frame that and put it on your wall as "high art".

It's postpostpostirony!

I never thought of it before, but this is a comic strip about the quality of comics as art compared to classic art. A comic about comics, in which it talks about comics of paintings of comics. A comic about comics of paintings of comics.

It's a shame that 'artistic commentary' sells as it does. At least most artistic satires take effort.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Playing Dark Souls 3 and helping people out (because sunbros), I generally greeted people using the "Hello" stone. I found someone else who had it, and we spent a good minute trading "Hello"'s.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

I assume there are some rules they were breaking with the first few headlines that resulted in the somewhat more BBC-esque third one.

I just discovered my university employs a guy literally named Professor Mania.

Well, that explains the dramatic lightning strikes...

So.

Anyone remember that terrible book I was assigned in French class a while back?

-terrible book assignment stuff=

Well now you do. The link is there for context, which is honestly a disservice on my part.

In any case, I was doing some research on it just know for a project and found some other suffering schoolchild's sassy[But accurate] synopsis of the book:

Quote from: Translated from French
this is the book about a horny teen who is in love with this girl because boobs and then she dies and he gets with her twelve year old sister because loli and then the goat explodes the end

I feel a strange kinship with this person, although we've never met.

Oh man, your story of that book was great.

I still want to know who the hell thought that was worth teaching in schools.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.
