You command the algae of the pond to tangle up your sisters legs, they trip into the water, making big splashes. Sputtering, Willow huffs and accuses you of cheating. You're about to reply when you hear a slight rustling in a nearby bush. Someone is spying on you?!

Meanwhile

What do you do?
> Ask the person in the bush to come out
> Ask the bush who's hiding inside it
> Tell the bush the entangle whoever is inside it
> Hide in your trees!
> Dive under the water!
> Act natural, like you haven't noticed them and do <something>
> Wrestle them out of the bush!
> Write-in

[OOC Commentary: That volcano was a real bitch to draw]

Also, what happens if someone chops down the tree and moves it elsewhere, do we just die or do we stay within 100 feet of wherever the tree is moved?

So someone thinks they can spy on you eh? Well time to prove them wrong! Quietly you whisper commands to the bush, who suddenly burst into motion, branches whipping around limbs and tightening until they have a firm hold on the interloper.

Time to find out who this miscreant is!

...oh, it's just one of those kobolds from their village nearby. The poor dear was probably just to nervous to come out and say hi, they're scared of their own shadows these things. When it sees you the kobold starts babbling in broken sylvan

"Ah! Treegirl! Plant suddenly attacked me! Help! Speak to plant, tell it I'm friend!"

Mmm, judging by the voice probably male.

Do you...
> Release the poor creature, ask him why he's here
> Keep him there a bit longer and interrogate him, he was spying after all
< Kill him
> Other

All fanfics are heresy, each and every one, especially the shipping ones. Those are by far the worst.

You order the shrub to release the kobold, and are about the ask it the latest news (unable to travel around much yourself, being a dryad, you mostly rely on others to bring gossip to you), when he suddenly starts babbling, letting loose a veritable torrent of words.

"Oh is terrible! Terrible! Stole sock from dwarves now dwarves are cutting down entire forest with fancy axes to find me and take back sock! Flashy flashy choppy choppy down fall trees! Wanted to use sock to impress girlfriend terrible terrible she will be sad when all trees gone she likes treeclimbing waaah! Plantgirl must help me pleasepleaseplease yes?!"

...what? You're not completely sure but you think you caught the words "the dwarves are cutting down the entire forest" in there. Horseapples! You're part of the forest! You don't want to get cut down! Damn dwarves! The kobold is right, this is terrible! You need to do something!

Willow's voice lilts over, "What's the matter? That kobold sounds awfully agitated doesn't it? Has it forgotten its name or something silly like not?"

"Hey! Have not forgotten name for days now! Am smartest kobold in tribe!"

Sometimes you wonder how the kobolds manage to produce those rare, very rare, Grandmaster Thieves of theirs, that can actually understand those fiendish dwarven traps.

What do you do?
> Assure the kobold that the dwarves are not coming after him for the stolen sock, probably. Dwarves can be strange at times, but surely not even they would cut down an entire forest to find a single sock... right? Actually, on second thought, yes they would, if even half the horror stories about that blighted race are true.
> Ask the kobold what the *shudder* elves are doing about this. They'd never stand for this sort of blatant violation of their sacred tree quotas.
> Inform your sisters about what's going on and brainstorm a solution
> Take action! (Specify what)

Oh, goodness! This is our chance to go on an epic adventure! Hug the kobold and thank him for telling us then rush straight to where the dwarves are, and, no need to tell us where they are Mr. Nice Kobold, you already said they're in the forest and we know exactly where that is so let's go there and confront them and oh, what's that shining in the grass?

Give the kobold (and the sock along with him) to the dwarves.

Problem solved.

NOoooo!!!! No, no no no no!!!

Be nice to Mr. Nice Kobold he helped tell us where the dwarves are and he's super smart he said so and smart people never lie though I guess he's a kobold and I'm not sure kobolds are people so he might be lying but I think he isn't because he told us where the dwarves are they're in the forest and we know where the forest is so obviously we know where the dwarves are which means he can't be lying because we know where both of those things are!!!

So there!

Pick up the shiny!

OOooohhh!!!!!

Pick up the sunbeam it's super shiny and I've always wanted one of those because they're shiny!!!!

...you can't pick up sunbeams silly... without using strong magic (which you don't have)
