Filters... Filters everywhere pretty please...
« on: February 14, 2016, 08:40:57 pm »

As by title... One of the gripes I have with DF is that when my fort starts having hundreds of different item types (it's not helping that every major release adds a slew of item categories too :P ) only a few menus have a filtering option. Please make it so EVERY menu is filterable by item\entity name, stocks, animals, health come to mind, but also things like the Specific Armor menu would help a lot.

You mean like a search function for a given menu? Alphabetization would also work as a stopgap.

I do find this to be a problem with clothing.

I want to find all copper clothing items to set them to melt-> oh gods.

I want to set only damaged clothing to be dumped -> oh gods, the monotony.

Yes, please.
Considering how some menus have it, not having it in others is even more painful.

Yes, please. It'd make so much fine-tuning so much easier.
