Mission Status

Feel the heat.  Freeways buckle and split as the high-pressure vortex turns the Pacific Northwest into a sweltering, killer hot zone.  Your own humble author felt the effects so acutely he had to be rescued and taken to a home with real air conditioning.  Meanwhile Toady persisted and brought you a new, improved, and decisively easier to use Trade Screen as well as an info screen that brings together all the disparate screens that had to be painstakingly searched for in Classic DF.  I hope that you are beginning to see the big picture.  High temperatures can’t stop us now.  What can in a world where Dwarf Fortress becomes a flying insect where once it was a blind grub searching for answers in the dark?

Fun with Numbers

Thanks to everybody that helped out!  Yeah, geez, that heat wave was something else, and we didn't have it nearly as bad as Portland south of here.  We're just going to be working through the information screen stuff now and for a good while, starting likely with manager-labor-workshop profile sorts of things, as we finally see how that's going to play out!  We want the default options to work much better, while also maintaining a good level of control for people that want it, while also leading into some of the features we want to add later (specifically, how workshops can be tied more closely into guilds etc.).  Should be fun!
