The Bay 12 Games Report, September 1st, 2012Mission Status
Another great month toward the future. We have surprising news! Due to the all-encompassing nature of this release, we have decided it is time to tackle the goblin/elf/dwarf/kobold sites and do them all. Why not? We are working on demon sites, so what better time? This will be a tremendous step toward the ultimate goal. Imagine the horrible dungeons and high wood-warped trees! This release will have it all and more.

Working through the hero role, it became clear that we were going to be doing goblin sites, since lots of heroic things need to happen there. Not having maps for non-human sites has been a glaring omission for a long time, and since we'll be doing one other race now, we're going to go ahead with the others. The plan remains to move back to repopulation and succession once we get the maps up. Map-making can take wildly different amounts of time depending on the initial results and the number of mind-bending 3D coordinate bugs, but I expect to do lots of damage this month for each of the non-human races. This'll involve some fort mode changes as well (most notably with trees when I get to the elves).
