Flailing Moshpit: The Ravencrest Chronicles
« on: May 03, 2014, 11:19:26 pm »

So, do you want to play a game of Dungeons and Dragons with the good ol' Three Point Five rule set?

OF COURSE YOU DO

"But Mistercheesy, what are le rules for making our characters?"

Simple! All you have to do is answer ---> THIS TEST <--- And it will give you your race, class, alignment, and starting stats!

That's practically half your character right there, and all that's left is for you to fill in the blanks!

"But mistercheesy, doesn't that mean there's a chance that I'll end up being a wizard with 9 intelligence?"

Yup!

"What am I supposed to do if that happens?"

I'd suggest putting your head between your legs and KISSING YOUR BUM GOODBYE

As you can probably guess, this will be a hilariously short-lived game, in which I'll be majorly surprised if you guys survive even a single encounter.

When filling out your character sheets, please make your characters level 2, regardless of whatever the quiz thing tells you is your level.

If you'd like to use something from outside the core book (Such as alternate class features, feats, and whatnot this isn't already decided by the quiz, so no changing your race.) Then just ask me, provide the information on what it is you'd like, and I'll tell you if I'll allow it.

Also, please post the quiz results here in the thread, so I can see them, and try to answer honestly. I know some of you will try to answer the quiz with attempts to get a super-powerful character, but that's not nearly as much fun now, is it?

Characters: (I'm not going to set a hard limit on this just yet.)

- My Name is Immaterial Bret - Male Neutral Good Human Cleric
- Bluerobin Robin Blueeyes - Male Lawful Good Halfling Wizard
- Cthulufaic Garenth Orcfodder - Male Neutral Good Human Wizard
- highmax28 Sir Spencer the Avenger - Male Lawful Good Human Paladin

Fallen Behind: (In previously, not anymore. May show up as NPCs.)
- Remuthra Joe the Destroyer - Male True Neutral Demi-Orc Fighter/Sorcerer
- Scotsmen Arassuil - Male True Neutral Human Ranger/Sorcerer

Waitlist: (Assuming they ever finish their sheets.)

- Evilsx Sir Boot - Male Neutral Good Half-Orc Wizard
- GiglameshDespair Ashii - Female Chaotic Good Human Wizard/Sorcerer
- Yoink Unknown - Male Chaotic Good Human Bard/Sorcerer
- Culise Gwyneira Ennan - Female Lawful Good Human Illusionist

I don't even know why I'm doing this...

Should we answer this honestly, or "honestly"?
(i.e in character or realistically? I sorta want to answer as Bridger.)

Both, so you have a second character when your first one gets run over by a caravan.

Honestly, I don't care. Do it in-character or in-person. Either works.

Joe has a very high opinion of himself and answered all the physical stat questions with the most absurd choice?

...

Alright.

Make a character with those stats, as a level 1 fighter/level 1 sorcerer, to put you at level 2.

Let's see how long you last, mister minmax.

Bahaha. I answered as myself, and got predictably terrible results. :))
I'm only really saddened by the alignment result. Boring.

YOU CALL ME MINMAX BUT YOU ARE JUST WEAK! YOU MUST BE STRONG MAN LIKE JOE!

I'll make the honest one later, if you want things to be less absurd.

Yoink is a bard/sorcerer with a charisma of 11.
Amazing.

(Oh, since I didn't clarify it, when you make your character sheets, if you could use that mythweavers site, that would be awesome.)

I'll make the honest one later, if you want things to be less absurd.
Well, go ahead and make your minmax character, and just have the real one be ready for later, since I'll probably kill you off quickly for lols.
Or maybe use his as an antagonist, I don't know.

I'm sure Mastah will give you the rundown, I'm not great at this myself.

Question: how can I be a bard/sorcerer at 1st level, anyway? Wouldn't I just be a bard?
Also, I rolled a one for my skill points. :P
