You lucky six* are going to be deployed across the system, fighting whoever we point you at, and perhaps living until your end of service. You lot have just finished your basic training on the ride here**, so grab your assignment and get on that shuttle!

     Standard shuttle, STOL capable, carries 28 troops, crew of 4. 15m long, wingspan of 40m, 3m high.
   C-921 Defiant class
     Gunship, VTOL, carries 6 troops (or 4 stretchers), crew of two. 10m by 5m by 4m. Carries more weapons than is good for it.

Earth is mostly controlled by one nation, who has expanded into space extensively. Earth is a polluted hell, most people with even a tiny bit of cash live off world, and there has been a war going on for the past 100~ years. As for who you fight, well, theres the Mars League of Nations, the Free Asteroid Miners, the Jovian Moon Colonies, Free Asia, half of the corporations... The list goes on.
The average person is poor, wants to get off Earth (Only 12% of the systems population is off Earth), and without knowledge, as the schools are just another word for factories at this point. So, you lot don't know what.
Cloning humans dosent work well, and is banned, Robots are exclusively for the rich and some of their factories, and aliens havent been found yet. FTL is still a pipe dream, although a few ships have been sent off that can reach 20% of light speed.
