Background:And insomniac Noire is a detective of the supernatural and one day looking into a case she came across a strange contract and instinctively signed it believing it to be for unlimited free beagles having not even read the contract she did not fall asleep it's much better to say some homeless guy hit her with a glass bottle bloodying her head and causing loss of consciousness ot was then that she lost her stuff and she wakes up in the current location.

Background: It's a hard life on the streets of New Mockba, but Nika was coming up in the world. That is until he tried to take money from the wrong people. Turns out if something looks to good to be true, it just might be. Having learned nothing from the experience, however, Nika has accepted a contract from a stranger to perform a set of services "of almost-legal nature" to pay them back. No wet-work though, that's a rule Nika has stuck to all his life.

Born in the noble house of De Logenstone sometime in the XVIIIth century, Romaygus knew he was destined to great things. He was trained his whole life to become the perfect gentleman, mastering various subjects and revealing his vivacious spirit. He soon became the pride of the family. Once he came to the age of living by himself, he decided to set off and explore the world.
On one of his travels in some foreign land, he encountered a woman burning with the same adventurous flame as his. Soon they became friends, then companions, and finally lovers.

Until one somber day. While they were exploring the ruins of some long-forgotten civilization, Romaygus came upon a strange black slab made of a obsidian. Red blood words on the glittering obsidian, foreign meanings that somehow made sense to his spirit. Sensing some bad omen, his companion tried to stop him from reading. But she couldn't, somehow an invisible wall separated them from each other.
Like a madman absorbed by some unknown power, he kept reading, drinking every letters, until the very last line.
"Seal the deal, with blood for food."

He approached his hand to touch the cursed slab. But he heard the voice of his lover, calling his name.
Regaining his senses for a brief moment, he realized the extent of the madness that took him. But it was too late, for an unknown force suddenly placated his hands on the word.

His hand began bleeding. And then he heard from beyond a terrible voice saying "Thank you for completing the contract". And he passed out, hearing his lover crying and calling him desperately...

Appearance: Nathanial might have been considered good-looking, once. That was a while ago. He is a middle-aged Caucasian man of slightly above-average height who is unhealthily thin. A clumsily cut mane of graying hair frames a gaunt face occluded with stubble and haphazard beard growth. Unsettling gray-green eyes regard the world with disquieting intensity, with the left eye locked in a perpetual squint.
Clothing: Nathanial wears what used to be a cheap, but professional, gray suit. It hasn't been taken very good care of and hangs somewhat loosely upon him, as if it were made for a larger man. Various arcane looking symbols are stitched or emblazoned crudely on it and it looks like it could use a good washing and ironing. Nathanial habitually wears an old leather pair of gloves, just as battered as the suit, even in the heat of summer.
Background: Nathanial was always a dreamer. Like most people at some point in their life, he wanted power. Supernatural power. For most, this dream remains just that. But for Nathanial, it became an obsession. An eternal, unscratchable itch. One day, he dropped out of his job as a salesman, withdrew his life savings and disappeared to chase that itch. Nathanial investigated every possible lead, chased down shady occult groups and researched ancient myths. Even after months of fruitless searching, he still held to his mad dream. One of these vain attempts led him to sign a contract in a language he didn't know. He's not entirely sure what happened next.

Name: Lyriel Ariette
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Lyriel is a fairly average-looking person, aside from a strange birthmark that covers her entire body. She has long, straight black hair, that she puts in a bun when she gets serious.
Clothing: She is wearing a ripped formal gown, like something a princess would wear (aside from the amount of rips and shreds in the clothing.) The gown is cut short just above her knees, so she can move freely. Under that, she is wearing formal socks/stockings, and then she is wearing heels.
Background: Lyriel was born with a curse. She was cursed at birth to have a naturally powerful resistance to magic, which disabled her from being near magic at all, let alone using magic herself. When she is in the vicinity of magic, she repels the magic away from her, and quite often makes the magic backfire, or if it is a magic weapon, be forced away from her. But when she attempts to use magic, or even hold magical items, she experiences intense pain. This was especially bad for her growing up, as she was part of a family which was a long line of magic users, and as such, she was expected to use magic as well. Eventually, she was expelled from her home due to her lack of magical affinity, and made her way on her own, until she found a new home in the country with some farmers. She lived their for most of her life, and was even taught by one of the farmer's. Until the day the farmer's barn was burnt down by bandits, and she left, yet again abandoned. She searched as far as she was able, but no one was willing to take her in, as they were all repelled by the markings covering her entire body. Desperate for a home, she went to see a witch out in the woods, and asked her to cure this horrid curse. She agreed, but only after she signed a contract written in an ancient language. Lyriel was given a potion, and after drinking it, she blacked out.

Clothing: The usual; black leather jacket without the sleeves, white tank underneath, rolled-up blue jeans stained with oil, and black motorcycle boots.
Background: Another day at the garage, another day helping Walter with his bike. (Damn thing hadn't been working right since those stupid South High kids took a five-iron to it.) Man, he must have been braindead not to notice all those hints she dropped.. Well, it didn't matter. She stopped at the convenience store afterwards to pick up a snack - working on bikes always made Bev hungry - and happened to complain she was almost out of cash, when some wrinkled old man said something about a contract. Bev wasn't interested at all until he mentioned "salary" and "large" in the same sentence, at which point she signed the paper without a second thought. Her trip home went fine, she gave the usual excuse to her parents and then went upstairs to consider maybe doing homework for once. But Bev felt strangely tired all of a sudden. She figured it was all the work on Walter's bike and it was pretty late anyway, so she flopped on the bed and drifted quickly to sleep.

Not in the basic 3:2.  You can add an additional +1 to a stat if you take an additional penalty to another stat to gain the additional boost.

Roughly one hour before I make the selection, so double check your sheets to see if they are in the condition you want them to be in during the selection process.  Got a fairly nice spread of different characters here, though I can admit I was at leas partially hoping for the time frame to be a bit more far-flung and potentially a little more wild (As an example, imagine if among the sheets there was a crusading knight, an egyptian pharaoh, a steampunk wizard, a space age scientist, an anime protagonist, and the like.)

One minor thing I should note that is off is on Crazyabe's sheet.  Rather than it being +3/-2 then each increment after being a repeat of that (going +3/-2 to +6/-4 to +9/-6, etc), each increment past the first is just an additional +1/-1 (so, +3/-2 to +4/-3 to +5/-4, etc.)
