how you got the white background though.
step 1 take a screen shot of the crest
step 2 start gimp
step 3 cut out the crest and past it on a smaller scale
step 4 fill the background white.

updated sheet to reflect age also updated fealty colour...being darkgreen. I still don't know what that is meant to be good for but yeah.

Quite a bunch of very odd houses there.

Also piratejoe welcome to the cold north. And thanks for all the mead, considering that it was actually very difficult for the Scandinavians to produce large amounts of it it became a luxury good...having you around allows grand feasts :D

Edited my sheet to add in a family crest. It's a little funky because for whatever reason gimp wouldn't load it properly.

Just need High Tyrol to show up and finish their sheet and we can start.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

In regards to Founder, the situation has been like this for over 300 years, so the founder cannot be the same guy.  Should note with the era I have in mind for the world, I believe you will find the 'distant continent' is a likely to be a lot closer than you are thinking.
Land you are desiring would put you in fealty to AbstractTraitorHero's House Lordenstein.  Doesn't really have any mountains outside of the house of the High Lord, though.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Hopefully this is good.

It looks to be good.  Ghazkull did point out the mead problem, but that can be solved by just putting you near the border.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Maybe change 'It is surrounded on all sides by mountains and actually is not directly touching the borders of any other major house, but with 4 days it can be reached' to 'The center has a circle of mountains and requires several days of travel to reach'?  That both clarifies the location of the mountains to what I am guessing you mean for their location, and allows for me to be able to resize things to be bigger or smaller depending.

Spoiler: Minor House (click to show/hide)

Looks to be good.

The founder is a distant ancestor, and the story is basically a legend at this point. I left it vague, but whenever the founder did this, if he did it the way they say he did, it was probably super long ago. And yeah, the 'distant continent' thing I was leaving vague from lack of map, but the house is modeled sorta by the Berbers crossing to Iberia and setting an Islamic seat of bower near Europe. But I was thinking the real story with the House is some guy, probably named Silcugar, took his tribe, sailed up the coast, and ended up in this area. Fast forward 500+ years and now we have House Silcugar, whose 'founder' had no notion of vassalage.

So can I keep it in that vague, mythical sense, or should I make a more current founder, whose lineage can actually be traced?

As for the location, House Abstract seems like a good fit, but I'm not 100% clear on the layout. I can change it to be a castle in the arid region, so long as it's situated in a tactical location. I'm looking for House Silcugar to be the warden of their liege, a line of defense, and military asset above all else.

I'm not a terrible.... Neighbor.
Family
House Abstract
Head of House:
Lord "Abstract" Von Lordenstein the 30th
A kind countenance and a relatively caring man, but beneath that kind heart lies a man who is slowly going mad the pressure of trying to keep this house together, trying to take care of his children, and a culture he doesn't understand, nor want to understand.  Without his supportive wife, he'd have surely lost his life to despair.
Age:25
Male
Appearance:an albino frail weak and skinny and pale grey eyes always with bags under them looking more like a child....and a corpse then a leader to his people.
5ft2
Medium length hair reaching his shoulders

Spouse:
Catherine Von Ludenberg
Greedy and manipulative, Catherine could be considered the true Lord of the house.  She helps as a mother and with finances, and actually is usually the one people talk to during a diplomatic meeting.  She fully intends to take her husband from leadership and rule herself, but she so far does not want to kill him and would prefer greatly to convince him to step down.  With how much the Lord needs her, she may soon have her chance.
Age:45
Black long flowing hair 6ft2 with blue eyes and a bright smile big boobs and many other desirable features.

Designated Heir:
Lord Von Lordenstein the 31
Age:6
Still taking their first steps into the world, the young Lord has no idea who he is and is struggling to develop at all.  He is twitchy, nervous, and has a terrified view of the world. Ultimately he wants to just hide from everything.
He has black hair and pale gray eyes and is currently 4ft6 with slightly pale skin.

Other Children:
Lilly Von Ludenberg: age 5
Appearance:
An albino with blue eyes like her mother she stands 4ft6 and is currently flat chested but that's kinda expected.
Personality:Friendly and sweet commonly the person who greets visitors with presents jewlery/candy/money a hug and a smile always willing to help others though this can get her in trouble
Lissa Von Lordenstein: age 4

Appearence:Faded black hair with gray streaks in it Lissa seems to be an....I'll  child sadly but her eyes are a unique vibrant green holding a strong will for some odd reason...
Personality: SLEEPY and sluggish she commonly follows Lissa and her siblings with their daily activities wordlessly a complete and utter mute she has not spoken a word and as such her motivations will be hard to decipher in the coming years if she is smart enough.
Bob Von donenstine
Age:18 ((adopted))
Charismatic and known as a bit of a jokester, but a highly skilled swordsman.  He is horribly naive about the reality of this world and is currently adventuring across the known world for fortune and glory for his family house, with a band that is open for hire to any of the houses called Sidonia's Courageous Wolves. It is composed of over a hundred men and shockingly women including Sidonia herself.
6ft6 with blind hair and brown eyes many bruises and scars from his training with the mercenary's are present over his body he is very fit physically.

Demographics
Founder: Abstract Von Lordenstein
Color:Pale Gray ((think stone))
Land: It is a treacherous journey to enter the land without adequate preparation. The center has a circle of mouantains and requires several days to be reached. The land outside it being basically a desert interspersed with rivers and grassy plains that are quite fertile. Many small towns and the majority of the populace live here while nobles, the military, and others of notable reputation stay in the deepest parts of the country that is surrounded by mountains.  While the inside is rocky, containing jagged cliffs and deep caves with mineral resources, it's full of calm and fresh rivers, predators, limited amounts of prey, and poisonous plants that without careful preparation will make an individual extremely ill.  Few people live here besides the castle and training grounds, and those that do are commonly bandits, mercenaries, or nomads.

Castle: Built into a mountain, it is made mostly of marble as well as hardened and smoothed obsidian.  Three spiraling towers rise through the rocks and are where the nobility commonly sleep when they are coming once a season for their reports. The central, largest one is where the king, his spouse, and heir live, with the rest of the children living in the surrounding towers.  The area inside the tower is massive with its corridors being tight and claustrophobic, making it easy to get lost among them all.

Culture: people who kill their enemies and wild animals for furniture, food, and other things.  Many of these enemies are criminals, commonly thieves or bandits.  Some individuals are whispered to be very accepting of death, praying to the god of the dead to watch over those they have lost.  Those within the castle are known to be extremely polite and courteous to guests, treating them like angels and beloved friends regardless of preconceived perceptions but Individuals at the trading posts and towns, while kind externally, are internally xenophobic and wary of anyone they do not know.  They are frequently skittish and easily frightened, though with occasional exceptions.((ex solders are not easily frightened.
Deed
House Abstract this is the deed of ownership for the land you own and control this grants full ownership and proof of your rightfull claim to this land.

If a minor house serves under me:

Relooking over, I accidentally read the house name as being what your character's name was.  A mistake was made on my end of things.

Just posting to say I'm interested in making a minor house (If you're still accepting). Will work on sheet.

Still am accepting more players.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That'll work.  Just waiting on the review of Tyrol's sheet before we can start, then.

Excellent - Left Fealty TBA, figured we'd see who needed another minor house the most and then fix/add the details when that's been determined! Great houses - Feel free to decide for me Zan if you see a need :)

Family
Head of House: Gabriel De Bruce (age: 39) Shrewd and gregarious. While he is a competent military man, he has never craved war like some lords. He much prefers negotiation and diplomacy. Once a man in peak physical form, he now walks with a limp after his horse was felled in battle and pinned his leg causing injury.

Spouse: Catherine De Bruce (age: 33) A perfect match for Gabriel. She has a strong affinity for commerce and numbers. Working as the unofficial treasurer for the House. The coffers have increased modestly under her auspices. Though their marriage began as an arrangement for alliance purposes they have grown to love each other very much.

Designated Heir: Edwin De Bruce (age: 17) As Edwin has grown it is becoming more and more apparent he is his father's son. He is charming and enjoys being the center of attention at a party. It's thought that it won't be long before he develops a reputation as a heartbreaker.

Other Children:
Declan De Bruce (Age: 14) Brash and gruff. He much prefers to hit things than attend a dinner with local nobility. A knack for martial matters. He insists he'll be leading the calvary charges as soon as his father lets him.
Melony De Bruce (Age: 12) Some say that Melony is destined to be the smartest of the De Bruce's. While competent at the courts and charming in her own rights, she is much more interested in reading everything she can get her hands on. Gabriel does his best to nurture this, but Two Banks' library leaves much to be desired. It can be assured whenever he travels he will do his best to bring back a new book for his favourite little girl.
Calvin De Bruce (Age: 4) The youngest of the De Bruce family. A meek and friendly young child. He is often sickly though.

Demographics
Founder: Corwin De Bruce. Long the guardian of the Blue River. He used his great trade wealth to militarise the crossing and build Castle Two Banks. Content with being the Gatekeeper between two sides. It wasn't long after that the Great House Jenridge offered a very generous fief for their loyalty and access to the bridge. Since then, house De Bruce has served as the protectors of the Blue River, detering any would-be enemies from striking at them or their liege House.

Fealty: House Jenridge

Land:  most of House De Bruce's successes could probably be linked to it's advantageous position of straddling the great Blue River. With Castle Two Banks sitting between the only link within a close distance. All travel, be it merchant or military in the area must pass through Two Banks or be forced to take a large detour.

The town of Bailey sits on one side of the Blue River. It does well as a minor trade hub, and though it could never compete for the sheer amount of amenities that larger cities offer, it has a reputation as a place where many strange artisan oddities, and goods can be found not available elsewhere. One of a kind hand-crafted is a matter of pride for both the merchants and tradesmen.

Outside of Bailey, the town and castle Two banks are supported by fertile farmland and plains.

Castle: Castle Two Banks - A no-nonsense castle with little in the way of opulence or amenities when compared to the homesteads of the great houses. It sits on an island between the two banks of the Blue River. In times of trouble it can raise the bridges on either side to prevent a crossing. Forcing the opposing force to either try a crossing by boat or find a new way around.

Has the unfortunate nickname 'Castle Too Damp' to those who have to spend any amount of time in it. Even on the hottest of days it seems to have a cold damp air to it. Lord De Bruce declares this 'refreshing', but most think even he is trying to fool himself.

Culture:
Outside of their  craftsman 'one-of-a-kind' reputation, the lands of House De Bruce are known for their equestrian tradition. The plains on either side are good for both farming and livestock. Not rich enough to afford heavy knights or infantry, much of their military is based on light cavalry to harass the enemy or spear-men to blunt any counter charge.
