I have attempted to include foul language, graphic violence, politics, religion, sexual references, adult situations, narcotics, prostitution, bodily functions and bad pickup lines, but I recognize that there might be omissions which will make some players uncomfortable. That's right, LCS Mafia.  I have thought of starting it before, but in my mind it always became a normal mafia game with the word "liberal" inserted into the flavor text at random times.  However, I think I have found a unique theme for the game.

The issues.

The issues are a set of rules for the game, rules that vary from mafia game to mafia game.  Liberalising these laws has a pro-town effect, but the scum can also conservatise a law in the night.  There are also power roles that effect the issues in various ways.  In general, you will be able to perform both an issue related action and a normal action each night if you have both abilities.

The two most basic ways of affecting the issues are to vote the issue in the day or for the scum to hit the issue at night.

Every day, the town votes for an Arch-Conservative player to be lynched in red, and an issue to liberalise in green.  At the end of the day, the person with most votes is killed, and the issue with most votes is fully liberalised.

Every night, one member of the scum team may use an ability to influence an issue or set of issues.  The ability they have varies from scumgroup to scumgroup.

Regular power roles will exist, but there will also be issue related power roles.  It will be possible to have both issue related powers and standard mafia powers.  Don't underestimate the importance of the issues, they could sway the game.

The entire liberal agenda will be displayed at the start of each phase.

Free Speech
Noone is allowed to pm anyone else.  The mafia may use their quicktopic.
Pms are allowed between the "Liberal Elite", a group of unconfirmed masons chosen randomly at the start of the game.  Please add me as a recipient to all game related pms.
Any living player may pm any other living player.  Please add me as a recipient to all game related pms.

Curfews
A non-negotiable deadline of 4 real life days (weekend counts as one day) is placed on each dayphase.
A negotiable deadline, with the possibility of extensions, of 4 real life days (weekend counts as one day) is placed on each dayphase.
The day continues until a majority vote is reached on one player/ half of the votes are on "No Lynch"

Transparency
You have no idea what you're up against.
The name of each team is revealed (3rd party individuals count as teams)
The name of each team and the number of players alive in each team is displayed with every votecount and at the start of each phase.

Roleflips
Rolename and alignment are the only things revealed on death.  Some roles may flip differently to their true alignments.
Rolename, alignment and role pm are revealed on death.  Some roles may flip differently to their true alignments.
Rolename, alignment and role pm are revealed on death.  All roles will flip according to their alignment and abilities, with death miller abilities overridden.

Accountability
Anyone killed in the night will be vaguely described as "killed".
Some flavour will be given on kills, but the source of the kill will still be in doubt.
It will be clear which mafia group or role killed someone in the night.

Censorship
Some elements of role pms may be [CLASSIFIED]
All abilities become known, but some abilities may not work as described (such as Paranoid Cop).
All abilities become known, and any abilities that work differently to how they were originally described will be clarified via pm.

Fixed rules:
Don't quote any pms you get from me.
Tie (only possible with Conservative or Moderate curfew rules)results in No Lynch.
Mafia groups will have their own quicktopic, as will the dead.
Do not post at all after you die.

Hold Your Ground: You may select an issue every night.  You will prevent any attempts to conservatise the issue that night.

Pandarsenic:

Active abilities:
Acid Pain: A quick acid spit can result in a wonderfully painful and gruesome death.  It can also be performed once every dayphase (except day one), and it will not be tracable back to you.

Passive abilities:
Ironic Indifference: Any cops inspecting you will get a "moderate" result.

Issue abilities:
None.  You really don't care.

Mr.Person:

Active abilities:
Special Injection: Once per night, you may inject a player with a special concoction and bring them to another players room.  This will make them use any actions they were trying to use that night on the player you redirected them to.  Note that the player will be aware of this redirection.

Passive abilities:
Faceless Army: All actions targetting you are redirected to BUDDY1 and vice versa.

Issue abilities:
None

Alexhans:

Active abilities:
None

Passive abilities:
Hideous Freak: Your frightening appearance causes all non kill actions to fail against you.
Regeneration X: [CLASSIFIED] >You will revive once on death.  You will NOT roleflip.<

Issue abilities:
Visit The Conservatives with Informational Leaflets: You can fully liberalise an issue every night.

Frelock:
Active abilities:

Stop and Search: Once per game, during the dayphase, you may send me the name of a player.  You will use invasive searching techniques to learn that player's alignment and role.  This will bypass any inspection changing abilities.

Passive abilities:
None

Issue abilities:
Nothing to See Here: Once per nightphase you can send me the name of an issue.  Noone will be able to see what status that issue has on during the next day.  This may be pointless for some issues, however.

Active abilities:
Sleuth: You can inspect one player each night to learn their political allegiance.

Passive abilities:
Enraptured: [CLASSIFIED] >You have fallen deeply in love with Kashyyk.  You will act as a bodyguard for them every night for as long as they are alive.<

Shades:

Active abilities:
None

Passive abilities:
Room Service: Every night, you will "motivate" dakarian, giving him an extra vote during the next phase.  >You also roleblock him<

Issue abilities:
Appease the Master: [CLASSIFIED] >You will knock the issue that BUDDY1 voted for on the previous day one block towards liberal each night<

Passive abilities:
Moderate Veil: You appear as liberal to investigations.  Your alignment will also appear as "Liberal" if you are killed when the Roleflips issue is conservative or moderate.
Faceless Army: All actions targetting you are redirected to BUDDY1 and vice versa.

Issue abilities:
Censorship for the People: Every night, as long as you are alive, the "censorship" issue will move one space towards conservatism automatically.  This does not happen if you choose to use "Progressive Secrecy", however.

Yeah, so that's about it.  Your role pm will clearly seperate alignment related abilties, passive abilties, active abilities and issue related abilities, so there shouldn't be too much confusion there.  This game probably won't start for quite a while, perhaps after Panda's edition of BYOR mafia ends.  Please feel free to ask any questions about the game here.
