So I've had a good look around. Not really sure what to do with it yet, but it's not quite as train-wrecky as I'd expect.

I'd like to make some pearlash so I can make the clear glass windows that I'm mandating - it seems that the kilns have been hijacked by bone block production though. How do I swap it back?

Also ... is there any reason why there's an enclosed gold tower sitting outside?

Is there any way to get inside the fortress? Seems that someone is stuck out there.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I doubt I ever mentioned it, actually.

Bone blocks? We're still making them?

And I thought that idea died along with that unfinished skull totem I tried to build in Battlefailed.

Ah, no. Same world, same mod, same awesome.

Just take two magma kilns, remove their bone block tasks, and queue up pearlash jobs on repeat.

I'm nearing the end of Winter at the moment - will do proper writeups and stuff later. Not much of interest has happened.

There seems to be a communication problem between the top and bottom of the fort - the siege workshop at the top can't see the copper ballista arrowheads in the magma forge, and the magma kiln can't see the potash up the top. No one seems willing to haul to stockpiles either - but it seems like the dwarves path up and down normally. Any ideas?

And, uh ... what should the new Andreus be named? :-X

You see, here's how I think this works:
Overseer: Welcome to the military! You need to wear socks! Dorf: Oh, I should get military socks. My socks are civilian socks. Dorf discards socks Dorf: You know, I need a whole lot of gear now. I should get socks... last. Oh, but these steel boots with the white goo on them are nice!

Uh, sorry guys. I sunk it. Accidentally built a convenient pathway around the defences and the goblins came in and slaughtered everyone.

It might be best just to skip me and go to the next person - my computer isn't handling it very well (overheats), and my time just got eaten up by new projects. Sorry for continuing the general turn-taking fail.

This is starting to get silly.

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

Hehehe...
Just four more turns and my reign of terror can begin once more.
Can't wait to see how much it's changed (and by 'changed' I mean 'been filled with corpses')
