Well, whaddya know, after doing 1 click of work on the farm (via activity screen, "new activity", select wheat job / gameMaster)
I now have 99% towards level 2 of Farmer, straight from having 0% Shame that's not 100% !!! or I'd be heading to train up a level already.

That's just what I needed. Now to do 1 more click. Anyone know more about the level-up system?

If you say the castle's reset again, I'll get a level of farmer then go get a level of builder once I train up

Oooh the Job listed in the activity boxes, I forgot that - so the job can be started that way or from the Jobs page.

And yeah, level up, it looks like 3 harvest jobs to get from level 2->level 3, that's as far as I am right now....

Edit: clean up weird grammar from MUDding too much lately

Great, I finally work that out, and now their server is offline with a "SimRepublic will be back soon..." message.

That game hate's me I swear. EDIT: They're back again, must've been a temp. issue. EDIT2: Aaannnnd it's gone again. Hope this doesn't turn into a regular thing.

I've learnt my lesson with books, borrow extra books to read while on the farm should save some time

The thing won't send my verification e mail, it's kind of irritating that I can't get on and put up my next tasks.

I believe we're talking about full scale colonisation here.  You don't just leave all your shit in the van when you move house.

@mainiac: I just sent you a "stash" of 25 (worth $250 in game). I upped my str but whnn i bought then, i thought each adds +1, but they really add +2, so i only needed < 1/2 of what I bought (decided to keep about 20 IQ points on further reading)

Share them out with others if u like, but that's enough to get you back to 50/50 if you want.

Just be aware these add +2 max str, -2 max IQ. They're reversed by mulberries I think.

You still need to eat something to fill the STR points back, these only change maximums.

THe first one I popped took 1 minute, then the rest took 10 minutes each! I'm not 100% sure about how this works, but it might be the first task of a certain type is quicker if you haven't done it in a while. So it might be best to eat one, do something else, then eat another. Like I said, just what I noticed so far.

Activities are based on server ticks (which are 10 minutes long). If you start an activity 9 minutes into a tick, you'll only have to wait 1 minute for it to finish.

Ahh that would explain everything.

So, effectively, you don't need to start tasks right away, you have a few minutes to look at options as long as you don't miss the server tick?
