I have added instructions on how to build and use Dfterm3 on Linux to the source repository. You can't play Dwarf Fortress through the interface but you can chat and observe the hoster themselves play the game.

Now, I didn't actually test these instructions yet. I hope they are right. If you are a Linux power user, you probably will be able to build and play around with it. For the rest of you, I won't personally help you if you have problems unless I made a mistake in the instructions. That probably sounds harsh and I'm sorry; this is to save my time that I can spend on developing the software.

Here they are: https://github.com/Noeda/dfterm3/blob/master/README.md

I hope it goes without saying that this software is quite unfinished so don't expect it to work very well. Or at all. However, it would be useful for me to have people actually play around with it and report their experiences.

Edit: As a sidenote, I added another screenshot to the first post.

The first release is out: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=129995.0. I'm moving over to that thread for further updates.
