AHA finally.  now iirc i asked you to draw something before you disappeared, and you subsequently, well, disappeared and never drew it.. to repay me can you please draw a troll unconscious from pain being shot very casually by 4 marksdwarves while hauling/woodcutting and other general outdoor activities go on around it?

In a recent fort, a 12-yr-old, carrying a large andesite stone, managed to set himself on fire (I was playing with some lava at the time).  And proceeded to, ecstatically mind you, carry that lump of rock halfway across the fortress before finally melting away.

Seriously, the kid burned his way past nearly all of my other dorfs, presumably singing a merry tune, for nearly a week.  And nobody else seemed to care, or even notice.  Having seen the rest of this <<*thread*>>, I'm sure you can come up with the essence of the hilarity of the situation.

For reals, though - awesome work.  Especially the wounded kitten.

Wallpaper get.  Thank you for the giggle!

One of my rather skilled fisherman was just killed by a salmon, after having been pulled into the water.

You know what you need to do.

Also, I'm limiting myself to doing only 3 per day, to prevent burnout. Wouldn't want another sudden 'disappearance'. :p

A were-horse attacked my fortress and managed to kill five dorfs with a +pig tail fiber sock+.

I had a demon general who had deadly dust arrive a few weeks back. The said dust just put people to sleep, he wound up putting all of the goblins and cave dragons to bed.
The hammer dorfs had a jolly good time.

I am just imagining the general ordering his troops to charge and finding them all asleep.

Beruang, you are awesome. I saw your DeviantArt.
I loooved them, especially the dark ones (he who brings the night was my favorite.
How do you do this?

Again, I cannot describe your awesomeness.

Thank you. I can't express how thankful I am through just simple text, but I really am. :)

It's all practice. I've been drawing since I can crawl, but only started seriously trying to improve about a year ago. I've seen people my age draw infinitely better, but that's why I'm doing this; to improve AND provide entertainment at the same time.

A goblin swordmaster got into my fortress and killed about half my dwarves before I got her caught in a cage. I just kept imagining her, covered in blood, saluting her goblin general from across the retracted bridge with a pile of dwarf corpses behind her

Hey I got an idea for you to draw! Through one of my most epic dwarves ever, Thob Rigothebal. He was recently enlisted to the military, and when I sent them to handle my fb problem down in the caverns he decided he could do it all by himself. It basically ended with both his legs and left arm broken, nothing in the right he was picked up by the teeth of the sauropod fb, made out of flesh. The thing lifted him up and he smashed it right in the face with his lone fist, instantly killing it.

If you could draw him up in the air in the saurpods teeth, about to be like eaten, and smashing its skull in, you'd be my favorite internet person!

The expression on that dwarf's face is what makes it great for me.

I bet that bunny lifts.

After I was distracted by goings on elsewhere, a herd of crundles (the short, large-clawed bipeds) more then two pages on the unit list in number accumulate in a section of the cavern blocked by a tree; a hunter was demanding I clear the way so I do so, expecting for him to be eaten alive and for me to have to send in a squad or two.

Instead, six hunters go down and work together to raise hell: shooting them down in great droves, bashing their crossbow at any that got close (including one hunter who brained a crundle who attacked him from behind and splattered it's blood on the walls), and driving the herd deeper and deeper into the cavern. In the end there was nothing but 3 injured crundles who managed to trap themselves in cages, a path of blood, corpses and body parts being picked through by workers for things to butcher, and six dwarves with much longer lists of kills, returning to the main hall.

In the first fort I made that actually went rather decently, I had a titan come, and I set up my entire line of marksdwarves up to take it down, and then realized that I had forgot to make any bolts. As I watched it come down the stairs, I was sure I was doomed, but then a single arrow flew out from my dwarves, and cut the titan in half, turning it to a puddle of water (it was a steam titan) because there was a single dwarf holding a bow instead of a crossbow, and he was the only one with any ammo.
