I wanted to say this is one of my favorite fonts, and since they use the same scale as default steam DF font, it's possible to still use it in the Steam DF version, which is/could be a plain better replacement than default fonts because DragonDePlatino did a great job vectorizing it.

I just wanted to comment I made a downscaled version of this font and looks gorgeous for Steam DF, I made a post about it a few mins ago in DF Reddit

EDIT: Sorry if I broke some rule by necroing this thread but I think is relevant info. I think everyone could benefit from using this instead of default steam DF fonts.

You don't hav to replace the original .bmp file, you can add your own to data/art and then edit data/init/init_default.txt. The game uses the last of any of those lines so you can add your own as a duplicate line after the default, like so:
Code: [Select]
[FONT:curses_640x300.png]
[FONT:curses_vector_8x12_scaled_nohalo_solid.png]
This way Steam wont replace the art file when it updates or verifies the game files, though it will still replace init_default.txt but that's easier to fix. But mostly it makes it easy to switch between tilesets.
