I walk the desert road back to Old Town.
Old TownThe old strip is a couple of retail outlets and a dingy casino for locals: The Silver Touch. Next to it is a narrow alleyway. The Proving Grounds cafe sits at one end of the strip mall, shut at this time of night. A single track road leads out west to the mission church.
I can hear mumbling from the alleyway. It's Bannock.

It's the middle of the night. Someone robbed me and left me for dead and all I have is their smell. Moira isn't what she said she was. But at least no one knows about John Paul.
Half my usual haunts will be closed, but the casinos are all still open. The regen left me feeling great, but I could go back to my room and see how things feel in the morning. Or I could visit my stash I left at the airport.
