Turn 6: Monolithic Statues and a Bunch of Mooks Dying
Gillieaus, Floor 1, Room 2
Quote
Nowhere to go but that glowing circle.
After tearing off a bat wing and stowing a fresh piece of its meat along with one of its humerus bones into your backpack, you leap onto the glowing purple circle. In an instant, you feel a strange sensation as your body dissipates from existence, only to reappear in a tall, cavernous room that exudes a sense of ancient mystery. As your eyes adjust to the dim light, you notice three imposing monolithic statues with humanoid faces, reminiscent of Moai statues, standing motionless in the center, their stony expressions conveying an eerie wisdom. A giant pressure plate, clearly marked and worn by time, lies before them, as if inviting you to take action, while a lockbox glimmers enticingly on the opposite side of the room. Flanking the space are two more glowing purple circles, mirroring the one you just left, suggesting that this strange environment is part of a larger, enigmatic puzzle. One thing you quickly notice is that the teleportation seems to have regenerated some of your wounds somehow, you don’t feel somewhat hurt anymore, you feel just scratched!, somehow this teleportation magic has healed some of your wounds!

Not risking it, Sneak attack that Skeletons head (But not its body so I dont harm the loot) before it can get up, then loot anything on it.
With a surge of adrenaline, you charge toward the slouched, small humanoid skeleton and smash its skull to pieces, sending fragments scattering across the ground. As the dust settles, you realize the skeleton was never animated or undead at all, merely a lifeless relic of the past. Curiosity piqued, you reach for the leather satchel hanging at its side, only to discover a small, nearly-torn black bag tucked inside. Peering into it, you find a nametag inscribed with an arcane language you cannot decipher, along with a rusty set of lockpicks, a half-broken handheld mirror with a metal handle, a pair of narrow-bladed scissors, and a set of rusty pliers all inside the black bag. You ponder whether this collection of items constitutes some sort of "set" equipment or "kit," each piece hinting at something?

"Agh!" I let out a cry of pain. Gritting my teeth, I stare daggers into my uncaring opponent. I refuse to die here. I refuse to be killed by a ****ing blob of gunk.

Gathering all my strength, I push myself off the ground and charge right at my wounded foe. Whip in one hand and dagger in the other, I launch a full on assault with reckless ferocity.

Taro would do the same for me, wouldn't he?
Quote from: Whip Strike
1 vs 4
You attempt to unleash a flurry of strikes, swinging with your whip in one hand and a dagger in the other, but the effort proves exhausting as the different weapon types demand more from your body. However you note the lightness of the dagger, it makes this chaotic assault less exhausting, if you tried to attack with two whips, for example, it would probably be more strenuous on your body and you’d be less accurate. Undeterred, you charge toward the slime, which is pulsating for some sort of attack. Just as you lash your whip, it hits the ground and scrapes the stone, the slime while not every evasive still moved it’s body somewhat off the way of the strike.
Quote from: Slime Power Ranged Strike?
3 Vs 2
With a sudden, powerful launch from its body, the slime shoots a chunk of its acidic mass directly at you, the projective striking directly into your chest even though you try to sidestep it with searing intensity. The burn is immediate and excruciating, a fierce pain radiating through your body as the acid eats a portion of your skin and clothing, as you are now hurt from the attack. Overwhelmed by the agony, you stumble backsward, and lose your footing and fall to the ground, your senses feeling dulled.
Quote
Dual-Weapon Assault, Dagger Strike]5 Vs 2
Gathering your resolve, you stand up and charge at the green slime, swing your dagger with precision to pierce a vital opening of it. A critical hit sends a torrent of its acidic liquid gushing out, causing the creature to collapse and disintegrate into a pile of motionless green chunks. As the last of the spills across the floor, you feel somewhat active from your twinned attack. Though all the acidic burns you go through the fight makes it feel like a pyrrhic victory. . Now the far side purple circle starts to emanate with light seemingly the second after the slime is defeated. (+1 XP)

Learned About:
Dual-Weapon Assault: If you have two weapons, in both hands, you may perform this action. You get two strikes for one action!, however, you can’t do this twice in a turn and this drains your stamina, you can wildly swing with two-weapons for 3 attacks in a turn!, also the lighter the weapons you are dual-wielding means a higher chance of losing no stamina, two daggers/fists are easier to do, then wielding two spears and trying to dual-weapon strike with them, also note that weapon that aren't "light" will be less accurate if you try to swing with them during a double-weapon attack.

Power Stab the goblin
Quote from: Goblin Strike
5 Vs 6
You still observe that the goblin’s rusty bronze sickle boasts a somewhat higher reach than your dagger, but their attack is somewhat predictable, allowing you to execute a quick jump to evade their swing. Frustrated by your agility, the goblin hastily pulls a cigarette out of their pocket in their leather cuirass with their other hand, seemingly prioritizing a smoke over the fight.
Quote from: Power Attack
4 Vs 1
Channeling all your energy, you grip your dagger with both hands and thrust it swiftly into the goblin’s throat, pulling it out in one fluid motion. For a brief moment, the goblin stands awestruck, a look of disbelief on its face before collapsing to the ground in a lifeless heap. The rusty sickle clatters as it hits the ground, and the cigarette tumbles away, while you notice the small, damaged leather armor the goblin wore might still hold loots in its pockets. You feel Somewhat active after your power attack, and see the far side purple-circle glow. (+1 XP)

Precisely drive my dagger into the giant rat's spine
Quote from: Accurate Attack?
2+2 Vs 1
Quote from: Critical Hit Chance
Succeeded
With the giant rat pinned beneath you, mounted like a wrestler, you grip your iron dagger tightly as you lunge it directly into the creature’s spine. It lets out a piercing shriek that echoes through the room, a desperate cry of pain, yet it succumbs to its injuries, though it is near-dead, very wounded and heavily off-balanced. Its next action is to throw you off its body.
Quote from: Buck Off/Escape Grapple
6 vs 5
Despite its near-death state, the giant rat summons a burst of primal energy, bucking you off and spending you sprawling to the ground. In a frenzied attempt to survive, it lunges toward, teeth bared and ready to bite your vulnerable body.
Quote from: Rat Strike
3 Vs 2-1 (Prone)
The giant rat lunges forward, delivering a quick jab and sinking its teeth into one of your legs, the sharp pain radiating through you as you feel scratched. Gritting your teeth, you kick the rat away from you, tumbling it across the floor. Now you find yourself prone, staring at a near-dead creature as it foams at the mouth, its wild eyes reflecting a mix of fury and desperation. What is your next action?

Panting, aching, wincing, I glance over at the eviscerated puddle that is my defeated opponent.

I survived. For now.

I hobble over to the remnants of the slime, examining it, making sure it is truly dead. Maybe there's even something useful to be found there, though I doubt it.

I then turn my attention to the rest of the room. The purple circles on the ground catch my eye. What can I make of these, and their possible function?...

Turn 7: Staring at Statues
Gillieaus, Floor 1, Room 2
Quote
Just stare at the statues..
You stand in the dimly lit room, staring blankly at the towering statues, their stone faces frozen in stoic expressions. Time drags on and you count about five minutes, and boredom creeps in, making it feel like you're watching paint dry in slow motion. Suddenly, a realization strikes you: the pressure plate must be connected to these statues. Just as that thought formulates in your brain, a booming, emotionless voice echoes around you, commanding, "APPROACH”, "APPROACH”, ”APPROACH” Each different statue shouting these words across the room, your heart races as you sense the ancient power within this room, urging you to step closer…

Quote from: Identify Check
5
You carefully examine the torn black bag, already aware of the rusty lockpicks, half-broken mirror, narrow-bladed scissors, and rusty pliers hidden inside. As you focus on the name-tag, you decipher the arcane-language cuneiform script etched into it, with your skills of linguistic analysis being made to the use, your mind piecing together the symbols and what the symbols. The words "Halflo's Thieves Tools" emerge clearly, and a sense of familiarity washes over you, connecting the items to their intended use. It seems like this bag is a set of tools that a thief would use, it’s quite torn and rusty now though.
You turn your attention to the spherical flask filled with a swirling orange liquid, recalling the moment you found it in the previous room. After some contemplation, you quickly recognize it as Alchemist's Fire—a volatile concoction known for its explosive potential, as it contains volatile liquids that ignite when it touches the air. When thrown, this flask unleashes a burst of flames, igniting everything within a small radius and even igniting things in its wake, almost like a molotov cocktail. However, you note with a hint of caution that this particular version is one of the weakest and simplest available, aptly named "Lesser Alchemist's Fire"

Quote from: Knowledge Check?
6
As you survey the room, your eyes land on the defeated green slime, its chunks and remnants strewn across the dungeon floor. You quickly realize that there’s nothing of value left in its slimy corpse; touching the green bits would likely only worsen the burns from the previous burns you got from when it’s alive, you can’t imagine any possible use for green slime chunks. Scanning the area, you see that almost everything else is gone; the lockbox lies empty, as you already have looted it. The side you entered from features the same non-glowing purple circle, but your gaze is drawn to the far side, where a powerful purple light pulses, the same circle looking to draw you in.

As you step closer to the glowing purple circle, intricate pictograms and symbols begin to reveal themselves within its luminous interior. Your peasant knowledge may be limited, but it’s clear that these circles serve a powerful purpose—likely enabling some form of teleportation from one location to another. Even a fledgling adventurer understands that such magic is not only advanced but also carries significant risks. The vibrant energy emanating from the circle fills you with both excitement and trepidation, hinting at the vast potential and dangers that lie ahead if you dare to step through.

Take the sickle and loot the torn armor
Catching your breath in the dim dungeon room, you turn your attention to the slain goblin at your feet, eager to loot its meager possessions. The damaged small leather armor it wore reveals a few pockets, and you find eight gold coins jingling in one of the pant's pockets, a small but welcome treasure. Alongside the coins, you discover a carton of cigarettes and a rusty worn-looking lighter, eight cigs still intact, hinting at the goblin’s vices. You also pick up the rusty bronze sickle that clattered to the ground, and after a moment of consideration, you stow the damaged leather armor in your backpack. Just as you finish this tiring looting process, the purple circle on the far side of the room begins to glow even brighter, drawing your attention once more with an alluring, mysterious light.

Quote from: Rat Strike
1 Vs 2
Saddened by the sight of the foaming, near-dead giant rat in a panicked frenzy, you realize that only one of you will leave this encounter alive. With a desperate charge, the creature lunges at you, attempting to tackle you with its last ounce of energy, but it fails spectacularly and lands prone on the ground, a pitiful sight as you push it aside. Understanding the gravity of the situation, you know what must be done to end its suffering and protect yourself. Stealing your resolve, you prepare to deliver the final blow…
Quote from: Accurate Attack
1+2 Vs 2
Though a wave of sadness washes over you, you muster the strength to deliver the final stab into the giant rat's throat, ending its suffering. With a heavy heart, you watch as the creature lies motionless, a somber reminder of the harsh realities of survival. Once you've collected your thoughts, you notice the still unlocked and closed lockbox on the far side of the room, the remaining parts of a deer corpse in the center, and then the purple circles. Just then, the far-side purple circle begins to emanate a purplish glow, pulsing with energy and drawing your attention (+1 XP)

A moment of sobriety hits me. I could end up dying in this place. Is Taro even here? Have I made a mistake that will cost me my life?

Yet, it seems too late to turn back. There's but one path forward.

Taking a deep breath, I tighten my grip around my weapons, and step into the glowing purple light.
