Roles
======================================
You, a pair of Doppelgangers, found yourself in this small, mostly destroyed village. The smells of destruction and death have tantalized you, and you quickly found two victims to claim and impersonate. Now you need to finish off the last few survivors in this place so they cannot warn anyone else of your presence on this planet.
Agentt (Doppelganger)
Agentt, you managed to take over the mind and memories of a Detective. Each night, you can choose to go to the house of another player and Investigate to learn their role.
In addition, you have a natural Mind Shield which will help protect you from any psychic powers that may be used against you.
ToonyMan (Doppelganger)
ToonyMan, you got the jump on a Psychic Warden, managing to kill him off before he could use his powers against you. Each night you can use the psychic Ritual Of Subdual on another player to Block them from doing any actions that night. This does not require you to leave your house.
As Doppelgangers, you also have a shared Night Kill that one of you can perform instead of your regular ability. Note that must perform the night kill at least once every three nights, the bloodlust will not allow anything else.
You will also have a specific channel on my discord for you to discuss things in private.
======================================
AnimePigeon (Human)
While most people fled, you chose to stay behind and and help protect the people who could not or would not leave. You are a Heroic Guard, and can choose to Protect one other player each night. If they are attacked, you will give your life for theirs. No matter how many attackers come, you will ensure that your target is safe.
You are town.
----------------------------------------------
Crystalizedmire (Human)
A rare individual, you developed the psychic powers of a Telepath early in life. Each night you can reach out with your mind to Investigate another player and learn what their Goal for the night was. This does not require you to leave your house.
You are town.

Imp (Human)
While you might have wanted to flee, you are a Military Scientist and the project you’ve been working on is too important for your country to just abandon so you stayed around to try and finish it. Fortunately, you’ve also got a side project that you’ve been working on which may aid you against the doppelgangers.
Choose one Tech from the Military Scientist list, or a Mind shield or Anti-Tech field. You must inform me via PM what tech you choose before the first Day phase has ended.

Jim Groovester (Human)
You wanted to run away, you really did. But the roads are just too dangerous, and a caravan of people too obvious a target. So you stayed. And now there are doppelgangers waiting to eat you! You just can’t get a break.
Fortunately, you’re a very good Sneak, able to slip into people’s houses undetected. Each night you can choose to Investigate another player by hiding in their house for the night. You will learn if they leave their house that evening. In addition, since you are not at home any non-psychic actions targeting you will fail. However, any non-psychic actions targeting the house you are in will effect you as well!
You are town.
----------------------------------------------
Magma Mater (Human)
You are an Intelligence Scientist, running some active sensor equipment to monitor enemy activities. It’s shut down right now due to the power outages, but once things are back up and running you’ll be able to start feeding your troops vital intel again. In the meantime, you’ve got a bit of tech you’ve been working on in your spare time that may help against the doppelgangers.

Salvatore Monday (Human)
You’re one of the militia who decided to stay behind and help protect the people who weren’t able, or were unwilling, to leave when the rest of the town fled. You’re a very Observant Guard, and each night you can choose to Protect another player. You will prevent them from dying from an attack, and will even be able to warn them about who attacked them, but you will lose your life in the process.
You are town.

notquitethere (Human)
Most people don’t know it, but there are powerful ley lines that cross under this town. Powerful enough that as a Psychic Warden you’ve been unwilling to leave them. You’re pretty confident that if enemy troops come, you’ll be able to slow them down enough to escape. As for doppelgangers, you can use the Ritual of Subdual to Block one player each night, preventing them from taking any actions. As a psychic action, this does not require you to leave your house.
You are town.
AnimePigeon
You decide that Jim Groovester could use some extra protection this night, so you head out to keep a watch over him.
Finding a good spot that should give you a clear view of his house while keeping you from being spotted, you settle in for a stakeout.
After most of the night has passed you decide that he’s probably safe, so you head back home to grab a few hours sleep before everyone gathers again.

Crystalizedmire
You are most curious about Magma Mater, so you decide to direct your powers towards them this evening so you can discover what kind of goal they have in mind.
Settling down with a fresh cup of tea, you focus your thoughts upon them. As the level of tea grows lower in the cup you feel the connection strengthening, and at the end you look down into the leaves left behind. It is unmistakable. Magam Mater wanted to Find something this night. What, of course, you cannot tell. But perhaps this information will help the others tomorrow.
Stretching, your mind feeling a bit dulled by the exertions, you head off to bed. As you step into the room you can feel that something is off. Turning in alarm, you spot a clawed hand reaching for you from the darkness…
You have died. You will now be granted access to the Deadchat.

Imp
You update the settings on your guns to allow Jim Groovester and AnimePigeon safe passage, and then go back to work on your main project.
You awake safe and secure in the morning, and prepare to face another day of debates in the town hall.

Jim Groovester
You decide to hide out in Magma Mater’s house tonight. You can see if they sneak off, and hopefully if any monsters try to eat you they’ll just find your empty house instead.
After making your way inside without getting spotted you settle down for the night, eyes and ears open.
However, you don’t notice them leave and nothing else interesting seems to happen, so when morning arrives you head back to your house to get washed up before the next day of debates.

Magma Mater
As you sit in your workshop, laying out the tools and materials you’ll need to make another tracking bot, you feel a strange sensation. It’s subtle at first, like the room is growing close around you. After a bit, though, you start to feel like something has wrapped around you and is holding you tight. You struggle, trying to get up and leave, but it holds you tight. You start to feel weak, and your vision gets blurry. After a bit, everything goes black.
You wake up in the morning, finding yourself on the floor of your workshop. You are stiff and in dire need of some coffee, but are otherwise unharmed.
After getting yourself washed up and large mug brewed up, you check on your tracker dashboard. Looks like AnimePigeon visited Jim’s house last night. Interesting. Something to keep in mind during the debates today, certainly!

notquitethere
You sit at your kitchen table, a large blue candle in front of you and your grandmother’s silver chain in your hand. You take a few deep breaths to calm yourself, before lighting the candle and beginning the Ritual of Subdual.
You pull the psychic energies close to you and, staring into the flame, you picture Magma Mater in your mind. You twist the chain around your fingers, projecting the ritual out and seeing the binding chains of power wrapping around their soul. You then tug, pulling the chained hand towards you and mentally pulling their energy into the binding.
Soon, you look up. The ritual is complete, and you are certain that they were prevented from causing any harm tonight.
Feeling a bit drained yourself, you fix a hearty dinner and head off to bed. There will be much to discuss tomorrow, you’re sure of it.

You decide that Toonyman is a likely target of the doppelganger tonight, so you head out to keep a watch over him.
Finding a good spot that should give you a clear view of his house while keeping you from being spotted, you settle in for a stakeout.
After most of the night has passed you decide that he’s probably safe, so you head back home to grab a few hours sleep before everyone gathers again.

ToonyMan
Your podmate is dead. A bad start.
Very bad.
But you are not going to just give up. No. These humans will pay. And, tonight, Crystalizedmire shall pay.
You slip into her house and quietly find your way to the bedroom. You settle down in the shadows, and after some time your patience is rewarded. The pitiful creature barely has time to react as you ambush her, claws slashing her throat before she can do more than gasp in fear.
You feast well, and then return home to clean up and restore your guise as just another human.
AnimePigeon
Once again you head out into the night to see if you can protect your neighbors from the doppelganger. This time, you head towards notquitethere’s house to make sure that he is safe.
Finding a good spot to watch for trouble you settle in. Long hours pass quietly and the night about spent by the time you decide you need to head home and get a few hours sleep before the next round of voting begins.

After setting your turrets IFF to allow Jim Groovester safe passage you head to your workshop to continue your work.
However, as you start laying out your tools you feel a strange sensation. The room dims, and an oppressive weight fills the air. You then begin to feel as if you are being grabbed by some invisible force. You struggle, standing up and trying to get to the door. But the tightness only intensifies, and you begin to feel weak. Your vision fades, and the last thing you remember is hitting the floor before blacking out.
You awaken in the morning. Alive, if a bit sore from your fall and nursing a massive headache from whatever that was.
You groggily head to the kitchen for some food and a hot drink. You’ll need your wits sharp today, you’re sure.

Jim Groovester
You slip into Toonyman’s house this evening. Sneaky guy. Might be a dopp. Should you be in the house with a doppelganger? Is this the dumbest thing you’ve ever done? No. No. You’ll just avoid being seen, that’s all. And no way the dopp would think to look for you here.
You find a good place to lurk and spend the evening on the lookout for any sounds of Toonyman leaving, or doppelgangers entering, or doppelgangers slowly creeping up behind you - !
No. No. Just your imagination.
You don’t really get any sleep. But Toonyman doesn’t go anywhere and you don’t get eaten, so that’s good.
You sneak off home for some food and a shower.
Man, you really hope a doppelganger doesn't come for you in the shower…

Magma Mater
Not much else to do tonight but work on projects. You spend a bit tinkering around with another advanced tracking bot, as well as refining some of the plans for your big project.
Eventually you call it a night.
In the morning you check your bot and learn that AnimePigeon visited notquitethere last night. Guess you’ll see how that went once you arrive at the town hall.

notquitethere
You sit at your kitchen table once again, the large blue candle in front of you. It’s a bit shorter now, but still has plenty of burn left to it. Your grandmother’s silver chain rests lightly in your hand. You wonder what she’d think of everything going on here. Would she be proud of you?
It doesn’t matter right now. You need to focus. Deep breaths. Calm yourself. Light the candle. Say the words. The Ritual of Subdual has begun.
You pull the psychic energies close to you and stare into the flame, picturing ToonyMan in your mind this time. You grab the chain, slowly wrapping it around your fingers, projecting the ritual out and seeing the binding chains of power wrapping around their soul. Tugging upwards, then towards you. Feeling the energy running out of them. They will do nothing this night, you are sure.
With a deep sigh you end the ritual. It is done. Was it the right choice, this time?
No way to know until morning. You clean up the table and sit for a bit. Psychic work can be draining, even when you’re the one doing it and not the target.
--
ToonyMan
The bloodlust pushes you to kill, but it was well sated last night. It can wait.
Tonight, best to pretend to be human. Best to block the actions of others rather than act yourself.
It is time for the ritual. You search the memories of the human you claimed, and go rummaging through a chest that sits alongside a window in the living room. Yes. A large candle. It will do. And the chain you wear around your neck. You didn’t even think about it before now. Wearing it was just something you knew this human always did.
Interesting.
But now is not the time for such ruminations. Now you have a Ritual to perform.
You light the candle, feeling the heat of it. Seeing a bright spot of fire and psychic power in your mind. You reach out towards Imp. Her mind flares brightly in the nearly empty lands around you. Slowly you cast the binding, wrapping the chain in slow and sinuous circles on the table. Slowly the psychic bonds wrap around her. Then, in a swift motion, you spin the chain and wrap it around your finger. The psychic bonds wrap around her soul in an instant. Caught. You mentally pull at her energies, draining them out through the chain.
Soon it is done. Her mind is dark, and she will do nothing this night.
If you had actual hair the hackles on your neck would be rising. A psychic presence looming around you. So. It comes.
Very well.
The psychic chains bind you. The Ritual cannot be stopped, not once it has started like this. You sink you mind inside you and let what happens happen. Darkness rushes towards you, and all goes silent.
In the morning you awaken. A bit stiff, perhaps, having slumbered in the chair where you sat. The candle burned out, of course. But there are more.
Stretching, joints cracking, breathing life back into this body.
It is time to go to the town hall. Time to pretend. Time to see if you can live just one more day.

I do have some notes for myself for clarifications in the OP for future games. The sneak in particular is a bit confusing, but it would also help to clarify how some other rules work like if two guards protect the same person the night they are attacked.
