Congrats evictedSaint, on graduation and job!
Just finished my first year of uni. By the gods this is going to be...FUN.  :P

This scene makes me think of Monthy Python meeting Terry pratchett.

Why thank you, that's sort of what I was going for there :D

I recomend spinoff. Potentially novel-length. I would seriously read the hell out of a book like that.

That's a form of divination I had never heard of before.  Now I am curious how they read the cheese...

http://www.occultopedia.com/t/tyromancy.htm

Check there. Describes the methods. I like the one about writing names of suitors on cheese and selecting the onr which grew mold first. Mold is just so romantic, after all.

Has anyone here just searched for 'tyromancer?'  It's actually a real word.

Define real word.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/tyromancy

Used to indicate divination through the results of fermenting cheese. While that is the common use, the literal definition [Magic based around cheese] is more broad and is technically correct for both.

I think some of the related words listed would make for good spells of the Tyromancer.

Quote
Tyrosis
...
3. Caseation or the process in which necrotic (dead) tissue is converted into a granular amorphous mass resembling cheese.

Quote
Tyrotoxicosis, cheese poisoning
Illness resulting from ingestion of tyrotoxicon (poisonous compound found in contaminated cheese and other milk products).
Symptoms are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, severe epigastral pain, dilated pupils, numbness of the limbs, prostration, and possible death.

Quote
Tyroglyphus
A genus of sarcoptoid mites commonly known as cheese mites which can cause scabies or itch in humans and mange and scab in other animals.

Where is the connection between Tyro and Cheeser? I only get "beginner" as translation or a reference to a greek (non-cheese) god if I google that.

The greek word for cheese is Tyros.

http://wordinfo.info/unit/2208/ip:10/il:T

"Tyrogenous:
Originating in or produced in or by cheese."

Woops. Hand slipped.

Does that look off-center to y'all?

inb4 "left of center" jokes

The image is indeed a bit off-center, due to how the background is designed. I just threw it in there, I'd probably center it if I actually made one.
Priced around $20 individually, too; not bad. The price is a lot better in bulk as well.

Here is an idea: Maybe we can create a computer game, based on this succesful comic to create more franchise? Something with dwarves and plump helmet men, fortresses and the like. I can see it very clearly... would be a great hit.

Slaves to Plumpy, God of Mushroom-Wine: Chapter III: Dwarf Prison

Oh hell. Now I want an adventure-mode mod where you play as a PHM in a player-like fortress and organize the rebellion. Then combine it with a Hidden Agenda-esq game mode.

Like Liberal Crime Squad, Toady's Existing Open Source game that's ripe with the modability?  8)
( This is totally happening, isn't it? )

If it is, the TVtropes page is going to get crowded...

Next thing you know, people are doing real crazy stuff, like turning this comic into a comic book.  :o

Silly Meph, stop giving me ideas!  ;)

Come now, the lot of you!

Haven't you ever seen a game of Dwarf fortress?

There is a room of levers in there, and theres a few jobs that are ALWAYS on...

Misty: Run to lever room in anger and sadness.
Misty: Pull ALL the levers.

Awesome.  Do Masterwork nuns actually do things?
"MISTEM WHEELDREAMS, OVERSEER"
Why not. +1

Guys. Who gets blamed when things are going wrong. How many things seem to be going wrong. What normally is the result of the two of those.

If you said Overseer, Everything and FUN, you are correct.

Rumrusher, I conquer. This makes perfect sense.

Oh? What are you conquering then? Is it the afterlife?

Oh, and I concur with Ram. Conquer souls>Make SoulCheese>??>Profit

Interesting. So if one makes sure to take care of one's Plump Helmet men, and keeps them near the residence halls, one could create a mindless population which does not die from bleeding? Sounds like a lovely setup to me. Eventually, then, the PHMs would rule the entire fort.

I think Plumpy has a plan, perhaps...
