Sigh, I swear to god if I ever become wealthy I'm just going to give Toady enough cash to live on and tell him to finish this thing.

I'd rather just clone him once or twice. "Here are more programming geniuses, who think exactly like you. Now there can be thrice the love!"

But yeah those raws look awesome, and we must now bring up a philosophical question. What happens when an unstoppable weapon (adamantine) meets an invincible soldier (adamantine-armored)?

There is nothing unstoppable about a beached fish.  :D

Maybe it's a carp that was horribly disfigured by the new adamantine sword?

What would happen, since the sword/hammer/spear/etc. is "unstoppable," and the armor is "immovable," the weapon will merely pass right through the armor without damaging it, while mauling whatever poor soul happens to be in the armor-turned-sarcophagus. That or, more realistically, the shot will deflect off the armor or, if powerful enough, throw the user on a wild ride, where his body, far more malleable than his now deathtrap of an armor suit, would likely be crushed, pummeled, broken and torn to oblivion. Master hammer-and-macedwarves and ballista or catapult shots would become super effective against these enemies, as theri armor would do all the killing after being given some "inspiration. :P"

Oooh yeah, I don't think anyone's considered how armor that basically doesn't crumple would transfer energy.

The way I figure it, being hit by a rock while wearing adamantine armor would kill you.

Gasp. That must why the Ewoks beat the Stormtroopers!

Adamantine armor is not looking very good right now.

But Adamantine armor is magical, it stops everything including kenetic energy.

Wait, if it stops kinetic energy, then no energy can be imparted to it, right?

So basically, you can't move while wearing it. AWESOME. :D

...

Well, I suppose if it's magical it would behave how you wanted it to, but still...

Once again, if adamantine is "immovable" then the "unstoppable" adamant weapon will completely ignore it and slice right through the wearer. That's the way physics works. Sure, having the weapon's atomic structure filtered through the armor's might slow it down, but it's still going to cleave/flatten/pierce/eradicate the wearer.

So it'd melt together into one crazy half-armor/half-weapon device?

It wouldn't be very effective as either. If the armor was jabbed through with a sword, the sword would no longer be useable as a weapon and the armor would have a sword sticking through it, so it couldn't be worn. If you based it off of Einstein's laws of motion though, then the unstoppable force would be stopped and the immovable force would move since they are both equal.
