I'll start:
1) Saying "I think there is a problem where media turns everything into a bad thing, and I propose people should check more sources." is a great way to discuss things.

2) Saying "MegaCorporations are going to fuck us, there isn't anything we can do about it." probably fails to generate any productive change.
It's nice to vent every once in a while, but maybe acknowledge that its venting and not productive discussion?

The idea of fundamental worth and value comes at a fundamentalist inertia that isn't intrinsically defeated.  Perhaps mitigated and contorted, but not without effect on others.
