Hi, I'm trying to mill Dimple Cups to make some blue dye, and Im getting job cancellations saying that I need bags, when infact I have lots of empty bags, in stockpiles and still in the clothiers workshop. What am I doing wrong?
They are all made from Pig tail fibers if that matters.

I am pretty sure not every combination is possible. I never had rock or gemstone or glass weapons or bone or bone anvils.

Well, we're waiting on the anvil in the hopes of solving a very important question.

That's easy for me - clearly, the first anvil was bought on embark or acquired from human caravan.

2. If that was even a possibility, where did that one come from? Square one.
What do you mean, 'where'? From embark of course.

But then, say, where did wood come from? you need wood or metal for axes. for metal you need charcoal. for charcoal you need wood. So for wood you need wood...

So I just got my first mood in this fort, one of the 2 children which moved in. He grabbed some Giant hamster bone, Turkey bone and Bismuth, took it all to a Craftsdwarf's workshop, and build a War Hammer! Is this suppose to happen? I always thought that the item was tied to the workshop or mooding skill in someway, but he had no skills to start with, and is now a legendary bone crafter, nothing to do with weapons.
Is this new? The wiki doesn't mention anything like this.

I've been thinking about trying to make a fountain, but I don't have much experience with water pressure so I wanted to run the idea past you guys before I drown everyone.
The idea is to use a large tank to keep the water level above the level of the fountain so it will constantly be squirted upwards. Thanks to my awesome paint skills, I have a diagram to explain.

The water in the tank will squirt up the top of the fountain, and down the sides into the 'bowl' of the fountain around the base. This will be fed back into the tank using a pump as a one way valve (not shown in diagram).
Will this work it am I missing something?

Make a note of the leather carriers on their back so we can copy later. See if their are any techs which we have and they dont to trade for fishing. We are planning on being friendly to this tibe, right?
