Nah, that link is broken. I don’t recall, was the license on it one BoundWorlds can use anyway?

On the topic of pixel art, you can use anything you can upload (and legally use with licensing), or anything that’s already been uploaded. A lot of what I’ve used is from opengameart.org.

I wouldn’t know about the other issue since I just use it, but hope it turns out to be an easy fix.

Looks nice compared to everything I’ve ever drawn, so...

It is, for native English speakers. More so when it's an English speaker choosing to do their storytelling like that.

Course maybe I'm really just a foreigner who's unusually good at speaking and writing in English overall, and all these years I've been fooling everyone!

I am a native English speaker, so I guess I’m just weird. To be fair, I forget words every now and again anyways, so I might not be very good at it.

Oh, wait, I see. Apparently, I just can’t read at all. Shrug. Somehow I managed to miss that I was reading things out of order. I’m just confused I guess. Apologies.

I really like the swordsnek’s serpentine heritage drawing, Shook. Also literally everything else in that spoiler tag.

Wait, that writing format is unusual? Huh. I didn’t even notice.

I must say that the right-to-left throws me off a bit.
Clearly that means you are not a man of culture.  :P

Why is it right to left? You're writing it in English...
If I had to have an explanation, it's because I tend to read a lot of manga and do so in bursts every couple months. Kind of a boring weeb-y reason, but doing it right-to-left feels more normal because of that I guess.  :-\ I imagined it in that sort of format, and figured I may as well run with it that way.

It is a bit jarring for other people though, I'll agree to that. Cause Egan's not the first to say that to me.

Wait, that writing format is unusual? Huh. I didn’t even notice. I guess it’s good I don’t do comics. Then again, I can’t draw, so I probably have bigger problems in that case.

Either way, looks neat.

I shout out using both Speech and free action spirit communication and ask everyone to stop for a second so we can try to end this peacefully, then encourage Esme to use Commune again. In addition, I want to Suggest at maximum power to the pumpkin that we can help it to enhance the Commune’s effectiveness. It responded for a second, so maybe it’ll stop if we give it more.
Maintaining Soul Bond.

Using Plant Growth seems like it might fix the problem or go very, very badly. To see if I should, I’d also like to Examine the pumpkin for as much blue mana as I can spend on it if I still have time left in my actions.

Edit: Thinking about it, back in Round 6, it was established that Arbus mostly talked in the past, and apparently, making them live up to that is my new goal. Don’t actually think this one will work, but...

Well, I forgot to post anything for like 6 months, but I'm not dead and I'm still composing, so I should really post again. Here's some stuff I made since then. I think it turned out pretty well, but it's hard for me to say, since I made it.

So I was considering scales, and then I thought about what would happen if I just played in two totally different scales at once with different key signatures and everything. Now this exists.

And a song inspired in part by the game Wandersong, because it had some really cool accordion playing and I decided to try writing with the accordion. It's only one of 5 instruments that plays, and it's not the core instrument (which is flute), but... Somehow ended up the longest song I've ever written, at 4 minutes 30 seconds. Not really that long, but I've mostly written really short songs, so...

If you took the time to listen, thanks, hope it turned out alright.

I use Speech to encourage Esme to use Commune to talk to the pumpkin, which I seem to recall had a spirit inside of it earlier. I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a shot. Should that fail, I'll use the same speech to encourage Esme to run very quickly in the other direction and find the headmaster, and use Manifest to distract the pumpkin and try to lead it away from other students, taking risks as necessary, rather than avoiding them. Hopefully this won't go too terribly.

I wonder what would happen if she used plant growth on the pumpkin. It seems like a bad idea, but it says healthy, so maybe it would make it a little less murder-y? Well, not going to try that unless things get much worse.

I don’t have any kind of combat abilities, so I’m just going to Soul Bond Esme and use Speech encourage her to look around to make sure everyone is alright before heading out.

I’m real fond of the country music that I know (mostly Johnny Cash because my family all likes him), although if you have any recommendations for good country, I’d love to give it a try. I always need more types of music to try out.

Oh, also, the Fallout mod looks real neat. If I still played Fallout these days I’d try it out, but I haven’t been playing many open world fighting games lately. I also do not remember the actual genre name, so...

Up to 3 with each mana invested making it stronger.

“Thank you!”

12
“Good luck exploring! Oh, if it isn’t too much trouble, could you tell me if you find anything interesting? I haven’t explored much of the school outside of the garden, and I’d love to learn a bit more about it.”

13
“This is the Great Academy of Chromatic Magic, in Ioladin. It’s a school for mages like Esme, who I’m the familiar of. It’s a nice place, although I’ve heard if you try to cause problems, Headmaster Fintan will be angry. If you want to learn about magic, this is the place!”

14
“Nice to meet you Demitra! What brings you here?”

Longer term note: Arbus, having seen Amy’s book on transfiguration, would like to learn more about it. They’d like to attempt to learn about transformation magic, so next time there isn’t too much going on, they will ask Esme (using Speech) to check out a book for them. Seeing as the teachers who teach the relevant classes seemed to like Esme (she was able to sit in on some classes from Professor Basil back in Round 8 ) she might be able to check out a book slightly higher level than normal.

15
“Oh, I’m Arbus. It’s nice to meet you. What’s your name?”

Everyone picks their own names (except me, because I am the absolute worst at names, and just asked for help).
